This is a two part review.
1) Size up a vintage gold ring: No issues here. This was done in a timely fashion and the ring was sized and polished as expected.
2) Here's why I'm disappointed and will never use them again. I purchased a vintage gold ring from a private seller and wanted to get it sized. I brought it into their shop with questions. I wanted to know approximately the size/quality of the diamond center stone and the cost for going up two ring sizes. The lady looked at the diamond center stone through her loupe and commented on the quality of the diamond - stating that she did not see any flaws and that it was a beautiful stone. She estimated it to be 1/3 carat. She also suggested I pop the diamond out of the ring and make it into a pendant if I ever get tired of wearing it as a ring. In the meantime, I go ahead with sizing the ring.
Fast forward to almost 1 year later. I take this ring to The Jewelry Store on N. Wickham and ask them to give me a price on taking out the diamond center stone and putting it into a simple pendant setting. He looked at the diamond under the loupe and told me he was going to check it first to be sure it was in fact a diamond. Using his handheld device, he touched the stone and told me it was not. It was a CZ. That being said, he did not recommend making a pendant with it -- said it wouldn't be worth it.
I can't believe the lady at Palm Bay Jewelers lead me to believe this was a "flawless diamond". This is her profession and she had no idea what she was talking about.

This was an excellent experience. I was expecting to replace the lobster claw fastener that is large and expensive. The jeweler checked it and said he could fix the clasp without replacing it. Wow!! That saved me plenty of money. Got it back sooner than estimated and it works perfectly!! I will never go anywhere else for repairs or purchases.

They are very good. The price was very inexpensive and I am surprised. They had trouble matching the Scarab, but they finally did it and it was pretty good. The watch looks excellent. They are trustworthy. My mother always used them.
