They were excellent - they are color experts, offering ideas for even better outcomes. The 2 painters tented, prepared and sprayed our new cabinets beautifully.

They are busy so I waited a bit, but it was well worth the wait. I left for work and came home to beautifully painted celings, walls, doors, and trim and no mess. The quality of their paint and workmanship is top notch.

I called Stevens and Sons for an estimate to do the exterior painting on my house. My neighbor had used them recently and gave them a glowing review. I talked to Vincent on Friday and we agreed to meet on Tuesday for the estimate. I had a pretty good idea on colors but Vincent gave me some great advice and I selected the ones I liked. We talked about the cost for the work. Based on Vincent's professionalism and reasonable proposed price, I chose to hire them and forego getting other estimates. The crew showed up the very next morning and they were professional and efficient. The job was complete in 3 days. Their work is guaranteed and if I have any issues, they will fix them, including any cracking. My house looks like new again. I couldn't be happier and give them my highest recommendation.

Hiring Jos Steven’s & Sons worked out perfectly for our move to Florida. We bought a house from my sister and because we were out of state, she met with Vince. She said he had a great vibe and she felt like he would be honest and up front. Vince is busy, so we had to be a bit patient for him to get back with us, but when he did, he allowed all of the time we needed to determine the scope of work. Vince recommended we do ceiling paint to match our walls which was VERY foreign to us. He described every way possible how it would look, but because we were out of state and couldn’t see an example personally, we opted for the traditional white paint. Later, we visited a home with the same color paint on the walls and the ceiling that we were using in our house…it looked fabulous, especially with a high gloss white crown molding. A lesson learned for the future. When the day came for our popcorn ceiling work, the initial worker arrived 20 min early followed by van after van of workers. Every employee was courteous and upbeat, and you could tell by their banter, they enjoyed working with one another. One of their workers was deaf and his co-worker could sign to him above my novice ASL alphabet so there was never a lapse in communication. We unexpectedly changed the scope of work when we realized a “1970’s” style kitchen tray ceiling could be removed. Unfortunately with this demolition, we found gremlins with wiring, plumbing and the HVAC. The foreman contacted Vince who immediately contacted the respective specialties and had them at our house within hours to troubleshoot the problems. We assisted with the removal of the drywall and were warmed by the kindness of one of the workers, Alfredo, who brought everyone cold water bottles from the cooler in his truck including me and my husband. Their joking and laughing as they worked made for a joyous work environment. As for the ceiling, the first team wrapped the whole house in plastic and as rooms were wrapped, another team removed the popcorn, followed by the texture and knockdown and then paint. As rooms were completed, the plastic was removed and the ceiling fan blades replaced. I believe all of the work would have been done in one day had we not expanded the scope of work. My scores of “4” for responsiveness and price are because at first it was difficult to get a return call. After looking at reviews we knew we wanted to go with Jos Steven’s & Sons, so made the extra effort to contact them. Once we were scheduled, Vince was very prompt in getting back to us. Because of our delay in removing the tray ceiling, we still have some work to do so unsure of what the final bill will be as gremlins reveal themselves, but the original quote was fair. I highly recommend Joseph Stevens & Sons for popcorn ceiling removal. Our gratitude to Vince, Danny, Brian, David, Alfredo, Todd, Jeff, Mario, Noe, Ian (electric) and Tyson (plumbing) for creating a wonderful new ceiling in our new Florida home.

Very professional and very good job

I'm a first time home buyer and had a significant amount of drywall and ceiling work to be done to make the house presentable. Interviewed and met a number of contractors for this work and decided upon Vince based on his honest and open personality on top of a very reasonable quote (was not the cheapest but you also get what you pay for). My experience with him was what you would hope for in any contractor: doesn't cut corners, ensures the job is done correctly, is flexible (I asked for a number of changes/additions here and there) and is knowledgeable. I'm using other contractors in other specialties and wish they are were as solid as Vince and his crew. He even fixed issues created by other contractors after his guys had finished up some of the walls. He essentially redid the entire inside of my house as I also had him do the painting. Will 100% use him on an addition I will be doing next year and definitely recommend him to anyone else. I hope you find this review helpful as I don't normally make them.

When we called for an estimate, Jeff was so responsive and knowledgeable. They scheduled the work and came exactly when they said they would. The workers were extremely clean and taped off the entire house. We had the popcorn from the ceilings removed and a knock down put up instead. The work was done quickly but expertly. The ceilings look so much better than I expected. They did an amazing job. We even have a handyman doing more work on our remodel and he commented on what a great job they did. I would definitely recommend them and for sure hire them again if needed. I am so happy with the work.

Joseph Stevens & Sons Inc removed popcorn from the ceiling and closet of master bedroom, finished & painted the ceiling, and afterwards painted master bedroom and closet, caulking holes and smoothing cracks. Also painted casements and trim. Very good job and they were very careful about controlling dust in the house from popcorn removal. The 2 man crew were courteous and true artists who were able to match the skip trowel to an adjoining room. The work was so good, I'm thrilled. Steven's had previously done ceiling texture for my neighbor. Now I also will never hesitate to recommend Stevens. Thank you so much.

10 Stars if that were possible for Joseph Steven's & Sons. I hired them approximately 20 years ago to popcorn my ceilings and I was simply amazed at how good, efficient, and no-mess afterwards it was. I could not believe that a contractor had been there. Move forward to now. We wanted to texture our home ceilings due to water stains and also painting in some rooms that had wallpaper that was tearing that we could not get off the wall. Once again this company has shown us the beautiful hassle-free work they do. 1st Class all the way! Not only did they show up on time, they sent the best employees to do the job, made literally no mess, and were done in a day and a half. Try them out! Excellent. I had only a few concerns and the company fixed them immediately. I ended up with no complaints or concerns whatever. I felt that Joseph Stevens treated me as a valued customer. The workers were all real craftsmen and worked hard for excellence. They were pleasant and responded quickly to questions and concerns. This is probably the best contractor I have ever dealt with.

I contacted Joseph Stevens and Sons office in early May to obtain an estimate to remove popcorn from the ceilings of our condo.I was told that an estimator would contact me that same day or the next. I gave them a week and called back. This time I received a call and the estimator came out the following Tuesday. He looked at the rooms needing attention and advised that he would email me an estimate that evening, which he did. He also advised that they would need two to three weeks lead time to schedule the work.
I then obtained an estimate from another contractor who advised that he would not be able to start the job until August 2016.
Now with comparative estimates I contacted Joseph Stevens and Sons on June 14th requesting that they perform the work in early July, thus meeting their two to three week lead time request. No one ever called me back. I called again on June 29th and spoke to Joseph Stevens. After emailing him the estimate that had been given to me I received a call from Patrick. Patrick stated that he was on a job and did not have his schedule with him but that he would call me that evening to schedule the job. As of now , July 1st, I have not received a call back.
I have decided to look for a different contractor.

Very good job. Very thorough job covering and protecting appliances, counter tops, furniture and floor. Workers were fast and efficient.

Quick estimate and easy scheduling of the work around my schedule. Crew arrived and got right to work. Very professional crew who were enjoying the work they were performed.  About 8 hours after arriving, they had wiped down pictures, lights, swept and damp mopped the floor and departed.  The next day, the painter came by and touched up the walls where needed.  
Unlike many crews that I have used through the years to do work, this one was "family friendly" and I can't say enough good things about their work, efforts, and professionalism.

Well, they only took a few minutes to pressure wash. They removed no loose paint. They just started painting the house while it was wet fro the pressure washing. The next day, it was raining, so they painted in the rain. The owner's son is the job supervisor-- Vinny. He wanted to paint the shutters and doors the same color as the house. From the word go, it was a nightmare. One area they completely forgot to paint so I painted it myself. I called the owner to calmly discuss the problems-- he hung up on me.
