Helms Aluminum Inc The Screen King

Went well, Easy to work with and professionally handled. Impressed that we were to replace a handle on one of the screen doors and was told they would return the following day, after being paid, to bring a new one. The owner returned the next day and did replace it.

Took a few days but they did what they said they would do. One handle on a door needed to be replaced and Jack, the owner, came back, after the job was done, and replaced the old screen handle with a new one.

What needed to be done was explained to us, in a professional way, and Jack Helms supervised and worked on fixing the pool enclosure. No problems with the screen after Hurricane Irma. Also, Jack said he would be back with a new handle for one of the screen doors the next day, after payment. I must admit, I had my doubts. He returned the next day and put the new handle on, himself.

They came when they said they would be here. Professional discussion about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. They left after being paid in full and a door handle was still supposed to be replaced. Owner did come back the next day with the replacement. very pleased with the service.

Job was completed as requested. However in the coming weeks I noticed a significant gap in one of my screen doors. Also the screens started to give-way. I called them with my discovery. after at least a month someone came out to look. The said the gap was there already, inspected the job a said nothing was out of order. They offered a solution to fix the gap in the door. I was told I would be contacted to set an appointment. No one contacted me, and after a time I gave up. I called another screen co. They told me to look where the door frame was to see if I could see fresh pavement as to where the old frame was. Sure enough they were right. The 'other' screen co advised me the enclosure had shifted when the HELM'S Aluminum Techs did their work. This caused the gap in my door and screens to give-way. The 'other' screen co advised me to try again to get satisfaction from HELMS. Finally after numerous phone calls the owner came to visit me. He said he would be back to correct the the problem, he never came back. I called two more times and I was ignored. In the end, I called a third screen co to get an estimate. They confirmed the poor work of HELMS Aluminum and did the repair for $720.00 more.

After receiving the estimate and approving the work it took about a month to get the engineering and permitting done. 

When the permit was recd. the next day they were out digging the footers for the concrete work. They whole project took four days 

from the start to finish of construction.

 The finished product is just what I wanted and they did a beaufiful job.
