The problem with the roof leak has been taken care of by Florida Retrofits. Unfortunately it became an issue, but in the end the problem was solved to my satisfaction Unfortunately this company has forced me to write this negative review. I had a roof installed 4 years ago. Since that time I have had a stubborn leak. This leak was the entire reason I had a new roof installed and this company assured me that it would be taken care of. This particular fix was explicitly written into the contract. Guess what, they did not do this work. So for 4 years I have been trying to get them to honor this contract. No go. Now they send me an outrageous quote to do work they were supposed to do in the first place. I even offered them some money to take the sting away. Pretty poor... I feel bad that this would cost them money to fix, but they had their chance when they first did the work and chose not to to it properly per the contract. Once again, even though this was in writing I am on the hook for this. Now I have to hire another contractor and hope to sue them for my money. Stupid business practice... I am not considered a complainer when it comes to contractors, I used to be one myself, but this is unacceptable..

"Mr. [Member Name Removed], we apologize that we had to return to repair a leak. Every time we came out, we have determined it is where the flat roof meets the tile. I was unaware it was leaking again. We would be more than happy to come back out and try to locate the leak. The last time we performed a repair, the roofing manager thought it was corrected. The scheduling department will be reaching out to you. Our sincere apologies and we want to get this corrected."

I cannot say enough about how happy I am with Florida Retrofits and the job they did. This company was very transparent, excellent communication throughout the process, showed up and completed the job when they said they would, and priced extremely fair! As an investor, I work with several contractors on any given job, and this company is top notch. Alexis was great to work with on estimates and kept me in the loop every step of the way. Collin was extremely knowledgeable on the job site and kept the project moving smoothly. From beginning to end, they went above and beyond to ensure I felt valued as a customer, and the emphasis the company puts on maintaining a great reputation truly shows. I HIGHLY recommend Florida Retrofits for any roofing job you need done, and will undoubtedly be my first call for all future jobs.

The owner Cody Thomas and his Sales Manager- Joey DiSano came out to my home and walked me through the complete process and related costs. I had contacted other roofing companies prior to their visit, however I was not impressed by the feedback i received, I decided to sign with Florida Retrofits and was very happy with the results from start to clean-up. All the workers at my home were professional...from the Supervisor to the actual roofers. Mr. Thomas contacted me personally about the timing of each phase which was important to me. Great follow-up.

This service took 3 days to get it completed. The 3 guys worked well in sync. First day they took all the wood down from up underneath the overhang all the way around the house; 2nd day they bought supplies and updated the clips, while cutting to size and painting the new wood to replace it all, starting putting the new wood up in day two after painting it white to match what it use to look like. They also replaced the vents with new ones. While two guys were putting up the new wood pieces, the third guy was touching up the paint and sealing it good. They really did a great job. I was impressed and its hard to impress me. I would call them again if I need any roofing service.

This job showed the professionalism and integrity of the company, owner and roofers. There were some issues with the original materials but the company took care of the issues and more than met my expectations which are very high. The Cody, Colin and Joey are the best. Highly recommend!!

Quite well. Contractor was prompt to respond to estimate request. Work was scheduled sooner than I expected, began on time, and completed in one day. Team was professional and knowledgeable. I had a bad experience with a previous contractor who "could do this type of work"; they knew how to drive the nails, but not where to drive them. Discussing the job with Florida Retrofits left me confident that this is what they do for a living, and they know how to do it well. Only caveat is that I have not had the wind mitigation inspection by the insurance company yet, so there is the potential of an undetected compliance issue. I rated the price down one notch because, subjectively, I thought the cost was a bit pricey, but not outrageously so.

I contacted Florida Retrofits in early May, to give me an estimate for my hurricane damaged roof. The estimator was prompt, very friendly, and even told me that my damage was not as severe as previously thought. Great. This looked like it was going to go very well. I kindly asked them to send both a re-roof estimate, and a repair estimate. (as the damage was less than 29% of total roof area) I also told the salesman that I was in the middle of getting tugged around by both my insurance, and my mortgage company on the payout amount and dispersion, and that I would have little tolerance for getting jerked around by another party. (I was crystal clear about this) All I wanted, was someone to show up when they said they would, communicate in a timely manner, and do the job that they are hired to do. Very simple, right? First I got the estimate for the re-roof. OK, fine. My mortgage company is embedded in this process, by virtue of my loan type. So, I had to get their permission to do the re-roof. When I asked for the repair only estimate (on May 18), which I did not receive upfront, there was zero reply for a week. Exactly one week to the day (on May 25) after requesting the estimate, I requested it again, with some urgency. It took another 4 days (May 29) to receive it. The next day (May 30), I requested the insurance and business certs, to provide to my mortgage company, to verify the legitimacy of the re-roof vs repair estimate, at their request. They're holding my insurance payment in escrow, so I can't say no. Finally, 10 days later (June 5), I get an email reply that this was sent to the office manager, and "not followed up on". Great. A pattern is emerging. The next day (June 6), I receive the insurance certs, but no license, as requested. I requested again, and almost immediately, I get that back. (first time I get a timely response) On June 11, I let Florida Retrofits know that I was ready to start the job, but I wanted to discuss in-person the re-roof option, just to make absolutely sure, and to get some kind of reassurance that we could shift gears to re-roof, if necessary. (because I have limited funds available to do this, and other repairs left to make) I got no answer. 2 days later (June 13), I was finally put into the position of having to issue an ultimatum. I let them them know that if they weren't going to answer me, I was going to go elsewhere. I did make it known that I would be very difficult to deal with if I awarded them a job, and they treated me the same (while taking my money) as they did while quoting, and the lead-up, and that they should consider their ability to give proper priority to this job carefully, before taking on the job. For the first time ever, I got an almost instant email reply, stating that they left me a phone message. It was then followed up by an email stating that they will "kindly decline to take the job". At this point, I’m OK with that, albeit baffled that they chose this moment to be prompt. I take this to be an implicit admission that they were not able to give proper attention to either their quotes, or their customers. They could have just been honest with me upfront, when I told them not to bid the job, if they already have too much work. Because I am in a difficult position with all parties involved, I need to keep good documentation of my transactions. The lack of respect in communicating in a timely manner was not appreciated. I have had several bad transactions in the past - with roofers, in particular - and have evolved a process for dealing with them, in a way that ensures that we all stay honest. This was made clear to the person who quoted my job. Ultimately, the message that I want to send, is that if you have so much work lined up, that you can't give me proper attention, then you are either too busy to take on more, or you need to hire more people. But either way, don't string me along for a ride. If a transaction does not start well, it does not end well. Ultimately, this is the reason Florida Retrofits isn't doing my roof. I am satisfied with their decision not to take on my job, and it's the reason that their professionalism received a "C", instead of an "F". We would NOT have been happy with each other, given the pattern that played out leading up to this point. That said, this is a typical roofing company, with the typical problems and behaviors of the same. I'm not writing this to drag Florida Retrofits name through the mud. In fact, I would be just as happy if they would get their act together, and improve this end of their business, so that nobody else has to go through it. Give every part of the job, the same weight as the part where you collect the payment...

Office very professional and Jamie showed up when scheduled. Gave me an estimate for repairs to garage roof. Also sealed up area temporarily until the next day when he could do the job. They came back the next day when they said and completed repair work and cleaned up the mess. Also gave estimate for entire house for upgraded shingles. They did a excellent job and I will be calling them for the entire house this next winter.

We sent two emails from there website including sending our previous wind mitigation report, after a week we received a call asking for our wind mitigation report again, we sent it and we were told someone would get back to us being of the week. No one ever got back to us after trying to call them 2 time leaving a message each time. We went with another company!!!!! . We called several times
Response from

"Mr [Member Name Removed], I am not sure what the problem is, you were sent an estimate. We don't always come out to the site, the estimate can be done from the wind mitigation inspection and other sources. We are glad you were able to get the work completed and got your insurance rates lowered. I'm sorry you feel like we did not contact soon enough."

Everyone was very polite and professional. The company is a pleasure to work with in a very specialized business,

Easy to book estimate and work order with Lisa. Crew on time and completed in 3 hours on 2,200 square foot, 3/2 house made in 1975. Nothing disturbed and no mess. Will recover the cost ($2,110), in 2 years with the credit on the homeowners insurance. Referred to Retro by Tiger Team Roofing. Lisa said she can refer a Certified Wind Mitigation inspector for a full report to include photos taken by install crew. Cost of the inspection is under $100. which we will do once hurricane shutters are installed. Lisa is "good people" and a pleasure to talk with and sent a paid receipt days later.

I'd earlier been told by an inspection company that my roof-to-wall attachments consisted of hurricane clips with an insufficient number of nails for today's building codes.  Imagine my surprise and subsequent delight to learn that there were actually improperly configured single (hurricane) wrap straps originally installed, and within a matter of hours these were brought up to code, and additional gable bracing was installed.  This work (in combination with a re-roof) and a new inspection by their recommended windstorm mitigation company resulted in significant insurance premium credits.  Crew was on time, polite, informative and hard-working.
