E Z Electric never came close to finishing the job. There are multiple outlets not wired, fixtures and fans not hung or wired throughout the house. E Z (or LeCasa) submitted a Panel Schedule to the Palm Bay Building Dept. which plainly shows the intention to use 12awg wiring throughout the house and 20amp breakers. The Panel Schedule is used to inform the Building Dept. what gauge wire, what amperage breakers and ID name for each circuit. Nowhere on this document is 14awg wire (smaller gauge than listed) or 15amp breakers (which are the highest amp breakers 14awg wire can be connected to) mentioned. GFI circuits (safety-required for wet areas and outside applications) are to use 12awg wire and a 20amp breaker. There are multiple areas where 14awg wire has been installed in the same circuit with a GFI. The only room in the house that has the correct gauge wire in most places is the kitchen. There is only one place 14awg wire was used in there- directly between a GFI receptacle and a switch located above and within reach, of the kitchen sink. All of the 14awg wire used in the house must be replaced with 12awg. This means the drywall (walls are already custom painted) must all be removed to obtain access to the wire to be replaced. Which in turn means I will have to re-drywall, re-insulate where needed, tape, prep, prime and custom paint each room in the house, not to mention re-do baseboards and chair rails- thousands of dollars of rework labor and supplies. E Z broke the $200+ front porch light fixture (paid for out of pocket by me), claiming it came out of the box broken. My daughter and I had already looked at the fixture before I supplied it to them, and it was NOT broken. Then they removed it temporarily from the site against my wishes. It was returned months later by LeCasa when they left the job. There is an outlet on the front porch which is not weatherproofed as required by code. The only lighting fixtures supplied by E Z were some can lights- six in the kitchen, and two in the master bathroom. Two of the lights in the kitchen have the decorative rings hanging loose from them. There is a room in the house that was designed as a home for my birds. This room has a drain in the floor and a mop sink with a hose attachment to enable me to wash down the cages and the floor to ceiling tile for easy maintenance. The electrical outlets in this room are all open- no waterproofing to keep the water out of the exposed circuitry. Until a competent electrician can trace the wiring in that room, I have no idea if the outlets are supported by a GFI circuit as required by code. That pretty much sums up my dealings with E Z Electric. Do yourself a favor and pick a competent, certified plumber who will follow the codes and rules. This is not a company I would recommend you to hire.
