Everything was delightful, and the furkids are sparkling and happy
Sierra is a rescue, and I had always been told she was a Sheppard
The Dogsters took one look at her and said no, she's a Shiba Mix
I did a search of the breed, and found many pictures identical to Sierra :)
The knowledge displayed, as well as the quality of the services preformed, means we've found a new spa for the furkidz
"I and sorry your baby had to visit the vet. At the time you picked her up, we told you she was having some sort of problem around her back end. We are not vets, but we do alert customers to things that appear out of the ordinary. She was very sensitive to our bathing, drying and brushing the area. We did not see any blood or we most certainly would have told you. We do not express anal glands on big dogs unless requested by the customer. As any vet will tell you, since big dogs tend to have larger and firmer stools, they express their glands naturally. A groomer can actually do more harm than good by interfering with the natural process. I have checked her client card and do not see any notations that you requested her glands be expressed. We saw her on Sep 13th, prior to that her last visit was on Apr 5th. I have difficulty seeing how we could be considered responsible for any infection she acquired. I am sorry if there was any misunderstanding on what we do and do not do as part of a bath on large dogs. Once again, we did not see any blood or we would have brought it to your attention immediately, as we did with her sensitivity around her back end."
"I would have liked to address the customers' concerns when she was in our shop but she didn't give me that opportunity so I will attempt to address them here. When you enter the shop, there is a room immediately to your left which is where we do walk-in nail trims. We have found that dogs are calmer when we do their nails there where the lights are not so bright and it's away from the regular hustle and bustle of dryers, clippers, other dogs, etc. Most dogs are not fond of having their nails done so any little edge we can give ourselves can only help to get the job done. The shop is 1200 square feet, 600 of which is where we do the actual grooming and is very well lit so I'm not sure what (deleted member name) meant by small and dark. As for our appearance, we are dog groomers. That involves getting wet, having hair constantly stuck to you and getting your clothes torn by struggling fur babies sometimes. We dress neatly but we also have to be practical. I hope this addresses the issues expressed by the customer. If not I would hope she would contact me directly so I can answer any other questions/concerns she has."
I recently got a rescue dog. Because she is a rescue they charge me less to groom her. The folks at Doggie Do's are very professional. You don' t have to worry about your dog being stuck in a cage with a dryer, or what you dog's experience will be like. They are fabulous with all dogs, and know how to work with nervous ones, etc.
The prices are very reasonable.
