ARC Chimney Sweeps

Good. They gave us an estimate for chimney repair. Although we did not engage them for this service, as we knew someone personally that could do the work.

Dealing with ARC was a great experience from day 1. We originally hired them to inspect and clean the fireplace and chimney in our newly purchased home. After conducting the inspection they showed us where the chimney was in great shape and didn’t even require cleaning. The firebox however, had been irrevocably damaged by the previous owners. The entire problem was explained in detail and the damage was pointed out in several places. ARC took all the measurements and facilitated the purchase of our new firebox. We also chose to purchase our new gas logs from them. The removal of the old firebox and installation of the new was done quickly, cleanly and very precisely. Toward the completion of the project we had a catastrophic medical situation develop in our family. ARC worked with us on arranging the final payments and installation of the logs. They were more than professional and very compassionate. HIGHLY recommend.

Work was timely, professional and reasonably priced.

The inspection revealed the crown of the chimney is cracked and allowing moisture directly into the firebox. The Technician was very professional and explained in detail with pictures his recommendation.

Some negotiating on the spot....apparently the offer was for 1 fireplace only and I have 3. Wanted too much initially for looking at another fireplace Couldn't determine if outdoor fireplace was getting gas.

The owner is very friendly and seems to know what he is doing. The workers were in too much of a rush to complete the job. They showed up 2 hours early and rushed through the job. I called the owner to come back the next day and look at the work. He came back out immediately and completed the work to my satisfaction. There may have been a misunderstanding on my part of what the workers were supposed to do, but the owner didn't hassle me over it and finished it up immediately to my satisfaction.

The service was scheduled promptly and we were even able to get a Saturday appointment. The work was done very well and very satisfied with the outcome.

The service was great! The technician was earlier than my appointment time and finished in about 15 minutes. He was very polite and answered all of my questions thoroughly!

Christian did a fantastic job cleaning my gas log fireplace. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. The fireplace hadn't been used in years so it was full of cobwebs and dust. He cleaned each ceramic log with a brush and vacuum. He carefully kept the floor area clean. When he placed the logs back in the fireplace, he asked if it was the look I wanted. He rearranged them until I was satisfied. He was so pleasant about it. Christian then lit the fire to be sure everything was working. I was completely satisfied with him and the company. I would definitely recommend them.

We hired ARC and their tech could not find the problem and insisted that we needed to buy a whole new system for $1500 from his company. What a waste of my money! He even mentioned he was not certified to work on gas lines - so why was employed to work on gas fireplaces!?!

Well versed in brick chimney construction, gave good info about what's needed in the 45 year old chimney. Pictures taken showed actual issues.

They completed an assessment of our chimney secondary to water leakage in our attic. They told us that the chimney cap needed to be replaced and it would be a custom job. Approx. $1800 for a new Chimney Cap. They told us they could not identify any other concerns. After we paid for and the cap to include the installation we waited for another heavy rain. Water was in the attic again. We requested them to come back out to see what it would cost to water proof the brick chimney. They quoted us $2200 and said that that might not fix the problem. We decided to have another bid to water proof and the second company quoted us $250. You can imagine how surprised we were to see such a HUGE variance b/w the 2 companies. (Chimney Masters) Obviously we picked Chimney Master. Have had several heavy rains since then and there has been no water in the attic. That encouraged me to ask another company to price a new chimney cap and the price was half the price. Stay Away from this company.

Arrived on time. Work was done quite well. The finish could have been a little better on the fireplace. While they did clean the vent duct I would not have them do it again. Seemed quite expensive for the amount of work it took.

The installer did a good job. The appointments that were scheduled at 3:00 pm and I'd leave work to get home by that time. Both appointments, the contractor had come and gone before I got home (which I was home before the scheduled time). I had covered my chimney so it wouldn't leak when it rain and the installer took it with him. I had to call 3 times to get my tarp back.
