It could not have gone better. The job was huge and took 1 1/2 days. The crew arrived on time both days, and, with the exception of a couple of short breaks (it's over 90 degrees F. today) worked continuously. They have amazing remote-control equipment, which makes the removal faster and safer than having people climbing trees and using chain saws and rope. It is also much quieter. The crew were friendly guys who appeared very knowledgeable about their equipment, responsibilities, etc. They were very safety-conscious and careful to protect my property, i.e., pool pump, pool heater and pool cage, from potential damage. I would hire Boen again in a heartbeat. It was pricey, but well worth every dollar.

I have used Boen’s for decades and have always been satisfied with their work, but a year ago they told me they had been undercharging me and raised their bid by 30%. I could not believe that a professional in the business as long as they have been could “mistakenly” have undercharge a customer for years. I reluctantly accepted because I trusted their work. On my next bid they upped their price to almost double of what they had charged six months prior for a smaller job. When I questioned the cost, I was arrogantly told to take it or leave it. The company attitude was shocking considering the years of loyalty and the rapport I thought I had established with them. Because of the outrageous estimate and dismal customer interaction I will no longer use them.

I've used Boen's for the last 11+ years and they have always been professional and don't leave until all is cleaned up.

Fantastic tree trimmers. Called to get an estimate and scheduled an appointment with Roger for a few days later. Roger came right on time and I showed him the work to be done and he gave me an estimate and a time frame of 3 weeks. I scheduled the work and they actually came in two weeks. I showed the foreman John the work that needed to be done. Then two helpers came shortly thereafter. John went right to work setting up ropes and the equipment he would need. Then I watched as John swung through the trees on his ropes like a monkey. UNBELIEVABLE ! He also used other ropes to lower the large branches to the ground gently. He then went about making precision cuts to manage the size of the branches being removed. His helpers went about taking the limbs out to the street where a large chipper handled very large branches. Everything went into the chipper and disappeared ! That was a heavy duty chipper !! When they were all done, the premises were cleaned immaculately. You would never know they had been here. I am very satisfied with their service and will definitely call upon them again in the future.

Everything went very well. The 5 member team was punctual, worked efficiently together and was very professional while being friendly. All the team members had years of experience and knew what they had to do. They needed only 2 1/2 hours to complete the work and left our yard cleaner then went they arrived. Very pleased!

Thorough and complete work, friendly crew, excellent cleanup.

Boen's did a great job. Very professional work from start to finish, I did not need to 'clean-up' after they left, they completed the job better than any others I've used before. I got three quotes from three good companies, and Boens was the best overall value. They made a few areas of seriously deferred and overgrown mess disappear and made my property look much better. Won't call anybody else going forward, I will just have them maintain their good work.

They did a very good job. I had used them before for tree trimming. Their price and work quality were both excellent.

Boen's guys are polite, professional and thorough start to finish. They send a large crew of guys with the proper equipment in order to get the job done as expeditiously as possible. Clean up is well done too. They are busy so expect to wait 2-3 weeks after scheduling to get the work done. I have used them in the past and will in the future.

Boen's did an excellent job and completed the job, with a careful cleanup, in about 80 minutes. The 4-man team worked very well together. I highly recommend Boen's. I used them last year and will again next year. They use good judgement in deciding how much to trim each palm, according to the 9 and 3 o'clock standard. The cost of the job was very reasonable.

The crew arrived promptly on a day that was threatening rain, so I wasn't even certain they would be able to complete the job. The crew chief, who's name I don't recall...sorry, walked around the yard with me and went over what was expected. They completed the job quickly, professionally and cleaned up so well you could not tell any one was there, even though it was raining by the time they finished. He then walked around again with me to make sure I was satisfied. Plus....the cost was less than half of another estimate I had from a well known local company! They also pulled the permit from the town and assisted with a mitigation issue, one less thing for me to worry about. Since I am on a fixed income, the price and professionalism was much appreciated! I will be using them again.

We had a day of on & off storms and heavy rain. They got here and rain was really threatening and thunder - waited about 30 minutes & were about to leave when it let up. They decided to stay and I think there were about 5 people (John seemed to be the leader) and they all acted as a team and got to work. We have a pretty large pool and cage & the palms were resting on top of the pool cage. When John got done with them, EVERYTHING was cleaned off & I don't think those fronds (spell?) will ever rest on the pool cage again. The backyard with all the trimmings and sees the palms were shedding were ALL gone!!! The backyard looked so clean and debris on the ground was gone and everything all cleaned up. We've used Boen's for 8+ years now and their people and service is VERY EXCELLENT!! The next day, the squirrels were on the pool cage cover wondering where all their play land went - was a little sad but I'm glad the squirrels have gone elsewhere!!

Boen's arrived timely with a substantial crew who worked quickly and diligently. The crew chief (Gaspar) checked in with me upon arrival, answered my questions politely, and explained their work plan. When they were finishing up, Gaspar invited me to view the work in both the front and back yards. He pointed out what they had accomplished and made sure I was fully satisfied.

For over 12 years, I have relied on Boen's for advice and care of trees in my yard. In that time, they have pruned, cut out dead wood, and 'lifted' growth of limbs to keep them away from my roof (twice). They removed a dead tree that was difficult to access due to hedge and fence at yard boundary. In 2009, a severe storm caused a large landscape tree to split. It fell toward my house and covered half my yard with trunks and limbs. Boen's cut up all that and removed everything. They really work at cleaning up the yard afterwards. Their arborists have not charged for visits for advice when I question anything relative to my trees. I will continue to use Boen's and highly recommend them.

Great job!  Came to my house to give me an estimate.  Quick, professional and accurate.  I called back to set the appointment for the work to be completed and they gave me a date 10 days out.  They were apologetic for the length of time but I knew it would be a little delayed due to time of year.  The crew arrived at my home at precisely the time I was told, they began work immediately. Not only did they finish the work hours before I thought it would be completed, but they did an excellent job cleaning up the area and left no damage in my yard and everything looked fantastic!!  Great job!!  I would not hesitate to contact you for work in the future!

It was done professionally all the way.  I was really impressed.  I initiated contact through Angie's List and Mr. Boen responded within the day and came to do an estimate the next day.  The scope of work proposed was very complete including root removal and the price was fair for the scope of work.  The tree was dying and the work needed to be done ASAP so they rescheduled some planned time off for the crew in order to get it done within a couple of days after I had the permit in hand.  The crew arrived on time and completed the project in about three hours.  They were friendly, efficient and professional.  They thoroughly cleaned up the site after the removal.  When I need further tree services I plan to call Mr. Boen.

Called Boen for an estimate back in November.  Boen came out and gave us an estimate.  Since we used them before, we decided to go ahead but had to wait about a month because they were very busy.  Boen called the day before they came to do the job to let me know the approximate time they would arrive.  Came right around the time they said they would and were finished in about an hour. Had a crew of about 4 guys.  With the branches trimmed back, there is a lot more light that filters through.  Also trimmed back a few other branches on another tree that was hanging low over our roof.  Very pleased with their work and cleaned everything up.  Our house has much better curb appeal now!
