Using tools like digital xray's, we are able to diagnose and treat cavities in their earliest form. Once cavities are diagnosed however, it is our responsibility to clearly communicate why the treatment is necessary. We do this with the help of high resolution xray's and crystal clear photos of your actual teeth, allowing you to physically see where teeth are breaking down and cavities are growing. From your response, it is clear that we did not do our part in clearly communicating your treatment. We never want our patients to feel their treatment is aggressive, rather necessary to treat cavities before they turn into big problems like crowns, root canals, or extractions. We would appreciate the chance to explain in better detail, why we recommended your treatment and why it is the most effective way to keep your natural teeth for life, as is our goal with every patient.
