Herse what I went through I needed a new roof because my insurance company was canceling my policy due to the 3 tab shingle roof being over 16 years old. I had from 10/15/2020 date notification received on cancelation till 11/17/2020 to have it replace. I received 10 estimates by 10/21/2020 before deciding on a company. All the companies knew I was under a time constraint and 80% said they could get it done before deadline. I've been unemployed since March of 2020 due to Corvid 19 (53 years old). I went with roofing pioneers license #ccc1329030. I paid cash my first mistake and I should have known better. Contract signed on 10/18/2020. Notice of commencement complete on 10/21/2020. Permits pulled on 11/6/2020 (2 weeks later, mind you I am on a time frame). Dumpster dropped off the week of 11/8/2020 (sat in driveway and rusted my driveway for a week) Materials dropped off on 11/16/2020 one day before policy was to be cancelled new policy costing me $800 more a year). Communicated this to them and reminded them they said it would be done so I wouldn't have to worry about this. The response was well you don't need a insurance company like that your better off (yet another excuse from them). Several phone calls made many not returned or returned with excuses. Called the main office asked to speak to an owner or manager they gave the message back to what I believe was the foreman to call me. If I am having issues with the foreman why would I want to speak to him since he is not addressing my concerns. I pointed out several scratches on the black drip edge and they said they have extra that wont go on the roof. Guess what they put in right on in the front of the house. The response, oh you can take a lil black paint and paint it. Now after the job was complete on 11/20/2020 I paid off the balance and asked when inspection will be done they said within a week. After one week I called and asked why it has not been inspected they said we submitted it the county must be behind. Well as you can image I didn't trust them so I called the county they said nothing was submitted for it to be inspected and they are not behind it could be done in as little as 3 days. Called the foreman back told him and he said he would get on it and he did had it summitted that day (guess they didn't expect me to follow up good thing I did). Final inspection done on 12/8/2020 2.5 weeks after the completion of the roof since they didn't request the inspection from the county. Mind you I am as well as anyone else would be stressed out because of the insurance and time restraints. I understand things happen and weather can play roll when dealing with a roof (plenty of time with great weather to complete job) but don't promise someone something you can not deliver. I don't feel that $800.00 more a year for insurance when you are out of work because of corvid 19 is minor. Nor do I feel someone should pay for something new and get it scratched and then have it installed. I am adding this so you know I am not an unreasonable person I let all this go and wasn't going to right a review until this happened. In February my daughter and I heard something in the attic when I opened the hatch to check this is what I found (see pictures) there is no screen in the vent boot on the roof and yes they left that gap over 8 inches there is no missing pipe. They simply left the gap. So they never competed the job after being paid. Now I had to deal with the varmint (hopefully it was only one) in the attic as well as notify the company of what they left. So sent pictures and talked to the foreman on 2/15/2021. Yes you guessed it here comes the excuse. I was told well something must have nocked it off. I told him there was nothing there to be nocked off. The pipe from the house is solid and doesn't reach the vent boot, plus the pipe is round and the vent boot is square. The gap was left and you never completed the job. Who knows how long this would have been like this if I didn't hear something in the attic or until much more damage was done to wood and wiring and dry wall before I found out. I called back the next day and asked when this would be fixed and the response was I just submitted it yesterday. Well here it is 2/22/2021 one week later no phone call no response or sense of urgency to correct their mistake. I guess since its not their place they don't care. Worse customer service I have dealt with in a very long time. Poor communication, broken promises, no sense of urgency and to be honest I feel like they have lied to me.

it was done on time, however the roofer left a mess in my drive way and did not return to clean up. I contacted the owner via a text message and asked him why his worker's did not clean up the mess left behind? unfortunately as of today I have not received a response from the owner.

We had signed a contract with them and it took a lot of following up after we signed the contract for them to start the work. They had several different people doing the work (which may have been subcontractors). The work was done sloppily. After the county inspector came out they found some issues and Roofing Pioneers had to come back out and use the correct nails. We've had a roof leak since they installed the new one. We've reached out to them several times and we're still waiting for them to come back fix the leak.

I first met with Shaun Putnam who was on time for the estimate, very personable and was able to give me an estimate of what it would take to repair the roof.  Later that same day the owner of the company came out, Edison, and he also evaluated the problem, went into the attic which was about 150 degrees and looked at the area the inspector found.  They performed water tests on the roof to determine the exact location as my roof is large and has several pitches and I did not have replacement tile.  He explained that they did not want to break any tiles and so wanted to narrow down the area where they would start to remove them to locate the leak.  They found the leak and returned the next day with a crew and worked on the roof all day.  They did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone for either a replacement roof or repairs.
