A team of three showed up and were meticulous about measuring, leveling, and caulking the frame out. They did a great job and it only took about 3 hours.

The deck and included ramp are the most beautiful work I have seen in a long time.  He gave me exactly what I had been envisioning.  It was my first time having a  home improvement done and I had a hiccup during the payment process, but Steve was very patient and worked with me.  Everything has been settled and now I get to enjoy my beautiful deck for years to come.  I can't thank Steve and his crew from May Construction enough!

Such a comfortable family business to work with.  They gave me and I gave them a lot of flexibility.  Actually did the formal work in two days.  Cleaned up after themselves.  Answered questions. So far, all seems to be in good order. A big thank you.

 I called May Construction for a quote before checking with Angies List. We were considering replacing old worn-out windows in our older manufactured home with newer design double pane vinyl windows. Steve May was able to find a source and got us a quote for both the standard trailer home type windows and the more expensive energy efficient windows. We were very serious about getting the better windows but after more research and consideration of the economic sense of our situation we decided to go with the standard windows.
 
 After the window order came in we got the call and scheduled the installation.Steve and his crew arrived on time and went right to work. Most of the window installations required some modification of the window framing due to a little difference in the replacement window frame depth. This was unavoidable because the original old window design were not being made anymore. Not really much extra work and there was no extra charge. One window opening had some old wood damage from water leaks in the past. It looked to me like it would need some rebuilding of the wood framing but they were able to install the window without any restoration. They also repaired the inside sill of that window which looked pretty bad in the corner of that window frame. It turned out looking like it was new.
 Overall it was a pleasant experience.

We initially asked for an estimate via email after we received high estimates from other providers in the area. May had the lowest price and was still able to provide the options we were interested in having. We also had someone come out to give us an estimate just to make sure there wasn't anything that would change the price.
We have an existing concrete pad that is 20 ft x 13 ft so we just wanted a screen enclosure with a roof. We selected  some upgrade options including a gable roof style and tuff-screen that increased the price. However, all other offers for the same project were about 6,000-6,500 from other vendors. 
We signed the contract early in the week. By that Friday they had the permit and the work was started and completed on the Tuesday. So start to finish was about one week. The day the construction occurred they were at our house from about 7:30am to 5pm. 
The patio looks amazing and we were so excited that it was completed so quickly.
I would highly recommend May Construction for projects like this. The price was good, the quality is great, and the turnaround time is amazing.

Installation went smoothly as scheduled and Steve May's patience was much appreciated in working with elderly homeowner.

Steve May gave prompt, professional service from start to finish. My new deck was well constructed and payment was not required until work was completed as per my satisfaction. Steve and his crew were wonderful to work and I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others looking for professional, fairly priced projects.

Right from the start the owner Steve showed up promptly on time for the estimate. He then gave us an exact price less 10% for Angie's member. He obtained the permit and we had to get HOA approval. He responded quickly every time my husband had a question. His communication was great. The job was completed quickly and it is beautiful. Great quality of materials and everything cleaned up. We are so glad that we chose him to do the job. I would recommend him to anyone interested in quality workmanship and professional attitude.

Last year Steve May did a phenomenal job of installing both a screen porch and a pool enclosure at our house and today I contacted him about referrals for other work I needed around the house.  I went on Angie's List and was surprised to discover the someone had given Steve an "F" rating just for telling them the truth that any repairs have to be done to bring the house up to code.  I live in old house which was built in 1960 and have discovered that electrical, plumbing, and roofing repairs for example , must all be done according to current code. I would rather have an honest professional like Steve May who will tell you the truth about what you need to do, rather than perform some repairs at a very cheap price that you think you got a great deal on until you go to sell the house and find out that the work was a code violation and has to be redone.  Steve May did not create the building codes and did not deserve the "F" rating.  I hope the individual who posted it can find a way to rescind such an unfair grade.  Is is bad enough that there are truly incompetent construction companies who truly deserve an "F" and it is a shame that someone would rather trash an honest professional than realize he is just telling you the truth.  It's like smashing a fire alarm because you don't like the noise, when all it's doing is letting you know that the houses on fire!

We called for an estimate over the phone.  After deciding to go with Mays Construction, we called and they came out to measure and give a firmer estimate. The job was completed within the price quoted and time frame indicated. We are very happy with the job.

It went very well. Steve May showed up right on time to discuss the project and provide an estimate. He answered all my questions there and then a few more that I emailed him. Everything was strait forward, no games and no unkept promises.
On the day of the installation he showed up with his son Brad and his employee Brian. They completed the job quickly because they worked continuously and efficiently. They were very respectful of my property and cleaned up as they finished. Steve made sure I was pleased with the installation and even brought extra trim material so I could chose the color of the outer edge.
I saw how they worked and I can tell that pay attention to details. This roof was built tight and strong like a submarine.

Steve May and his team did it again!  We were so happy with the quality work May Construction already did in January to screen in our porch, that we decided to screen in the pool as well.  Steve May was very thorough in designing and measuring the pool enclosure, and made sure we were happy with the shape, location of the doors, etc. When Steve brought his team to build the enclosure, his team worked tirelessly for hours and hours in order to get the job done as quickly as humanly possible.  I couldn't be happier with the job they did and I am grateful that I found them on  Angie's List. The 10% off coupon was helpful, and the 6 months same as cash financing May Construction referred us to helped a lot as well.  Thank you for another great job!

Steve showed up on time and gave us a very reasonable quote. He listens and understands our concerns. He coordinates the projects well. He is very friendly, outgoing and just has this very positive attitude. We had a very pleasant experience with May Construction and I will definitely recommend it to my friends and neighbors.

Steve came and gave us an estimate which was much lower than the other two.  He and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in one day.  Neighbors have been stopping by and asking us who did our roof as it looks so good.

Shortly after moving into our short sale house, we discovered that whenever it rained, water would flood the area between the main house and the laundry room. Even though money was tight, we absolutely needed to put in screen rooms to prevent any more water damage.  Because of our past experience with incompetent contractors, I checked Angie's list first. We chose three companies to give us price quotes. Of the three companies we contacted, we were the most impressed with Steve May, the owner of Steve May Construction. He patiently guided us through the process of exploring our options and offered the cheapest price by far. He also offered 6 months same as cash, which helped us afford to do this project. The office staff  made the process of signing up for the financing very easy. Steve and his crew got the job done in only 2 days, and the workmanship was of the highest quality. In fact several of our neighbors stopped by to tell us how great the house looks with the screen rooms! Steve May Construction did a fantastic job at a great price.  I highly recommend him to anyone in the area!

I got 3 or 4 estimates. They were the second lowest. However, I liked that he didn't want to do the job when he first came to my house when he saw my roof problem. Then thought about it and came up with a solution. 
That impressed me that he would turn down work. Then that he would take the time to reconsider his first impression. So I went with him.
Maybe it was all a ploy? Could I have been played? 
Anyway, I was not there when the work was performed. They were busy and came out a couple of weeks or so after I awarded them the job. Yeah, like an Emmy or something.
My good neighbor ( I should get to write a review for good neighbors. They are hard to find.) kept an eye on them while I was away and he was impressed on how busy they stayed for the 2 days they worked. 
When I got home I was initially very happy with their work. I was only mildly let down by finding various bits of debris leftover all about my porch and yard. But it was just some broken screws, rubber stuff, and some screen scraps. I will get over it. I could see how they could easily be overlooked until you have to mow the lawn or sweep the patio.
Anyway, he did everything in the estimate that I can tell. I no longer have leaves or bugs coming in from everywhere. Nor can I move the entire enclosure by leaning against it. And the doors actually close properly. Hurray!
I will be sure to use them again.

Mr. May built a concrete patio and patio cover for my home.  He was
prompt in scheduling an estimate and was very through with planning and
pricing.  Pricing was very competitive.  Work was performed on time and
exceptionally fast.  Mr. May even came out a couple of days later to
address a rain drainage issue that was unrelated to his work.

is awesome.  We have received many compliments from friends, neighbors
and family.  Wouldn't hesitate to use or refer Mr. May to anyone looking
for construction around their home.

Steve May did a great job on the enclosure.  Some of the highlights were he has a team of professionals working for him.  Well mannered and worked hard to get the job done.  They worked very clean and fast.  Steve put me at ease when he came to do the initial bid, no hard sell on how great his company is, came back and measured the job a couple of times which tells me he wanted to get it right the first time, personable and accommodating.  His wife Shiela is the pretty face of the bunch (sorry Steve) and she runs things behind the scenes. She let us get our Insurance check prior to paying them the last installment.

This was the best possible experience!
After we got permission from our condo association to expand our screen porch I contacted several contractors. We chose May Construction, mostly because of his positive customer ratings here and on other websites. Steve came out, we talked at length about what I wanted and what the condo association would allow. His wife hand-delivered the contract, and they got started right away with getting the necessary permits.
I watched his crew do the work, and they were absolutely wonderful. They caulked every tiny crack and worked on details like screen tautness and the clearance on the door until they were just right. They cleaned up every bit of the contstruction mess, and asked me to look at everything carefully before they left.
I think the best review came from the building inspector. He looked it over very carefully and said it was top-notch. He inspects a lot of screen porches and said that this one was one of the best he had seen.
The next day we had a party on our new porch... I think that May Construction has made us the envy of the neighbor
