I found this local computer repair person by googling "computer repair 32765". I found Manhattan LCD, a company owned by Vinnie Falcone. I called and explained that my laptop screen would flicker and then go black. He told me to bring the laptop to his shop and we can take a look at it. He provided me with an estimate for both worst case and best case scenarios.
I drove to his house and he took my laptop apart and replaced the screen inverter and he was finished in 20 minutes. Total cost was $45.00 including parts and labor. I explained that I called other service providers and received estimates of $250.00 and I would have to leave the laptop for up to a week.
I highly recommend Vinne and Manhattan LCD for all your computer hardware / software needs.
