From The Ground Up

Hired this business to install approx 1300 sqft of artificial turf and one zone of irrigation. Marc was polite, eager to please, and worked hard, but at the end of the day he just did not do either job right. The turf was installed in a fenced area for a dog run, it was critical that the turf run completely to the enclosed fence so that the dogs could not dig under the fence to get out. He left an obvious 4 inch gap at one end of the fence which even when pointed out he never filled in with an extra piece of turf. His excuse? The fence was not perfectly straight. He also did not install landscaping staples in the middle area of the turf (as suggested by the turf manufacturer) nor did he apply the required amount of fill, again as per the guidelines of the manufacturer. At first his excuse was that it wasn't needed. He did eventually concede to come back and put more fill on, but he never came back nor returned our calls. The irrigation install was also sloppy. I provided all the material, designed the zone, told him where to put the heads. After he left I tested the zone. One of the heads was buried six inches under grade, 6 of them blew out their nozzles because this "landscaper" did not know enough to screw them down (had to go back and do that for all the nozzles), and he never bothered to align the spray patterns, so I had heads spraying into my shed, the woods, my screened in patio, etc. I had another landscaper on site installing some trees at the time who even remarked to me that Marc and his friend helping him did not look like they quite knew what they were doing. Definitely would not hire again or recommend!!
