I've used Guy Becker's company for two jobs over the last 3 years, both renovations and upgrades--a 1952 rental house and our 1950 home. In both jobs, Guy did a thorough and accurate inspection, provided us with pictures, descriptions of problems, and some recommendations. He climbed in the attic and crawl spaces, walked on the roof, looked closely at all the nooks and crannies. He documented things we could not see (and some that we had grown used to over the years)--all things, not only the bad but also the good. After he went over every picture with us, he sent the information to me in a secure email. I downloaded 40 pages of information that I keep in a notebook to guide our work. He also sat down with us and discussed his findings. From this notebook, we set priorities and got estimates. I didn't want to rely on free estimates to tell what I needed--and Guy gave me the knowledge I needed to seek out professionals and set priorities to renovate both houses. Scott also does 4-pt inspections for insurance purposes. When we finish all our work, I will be using him again to benefit from our upgrades. I would not do a major job without the information he provided. Guy is a certified ASHI Inspector, Residential Contractor,and ICC Building Inspector. He is also a Registered Professional Inspector.
