Christensen's Clockworks

About us

Christensen’s Clockworks has provided Orlando and the Central Florida area sales and service of clocks for over 30 years. We have had the opportunity to repair and restore clocks dating back to the 16th century. We would be pleased to speak with you about your clock. Christensen’s Clockworks founder, Eric Christensen, has over 40 years of experience in clock repair, having learned initially from a fine clockmaker in Gainesville. His extensive experience has allowed him opportunities to work on unusual clocks such as Atmos, Funier escapements, and wooden gears. His son, Link, purchased the business in 2016 after working for Eric starting in 2003. At the shop, we will be pleased to show you the clocks available for sale and explain the different movements, chimes, and styles available. We repair grandfather(floor) clocks, wall clocks, cuckoo clocks, mantel clocks, battery clocks, and many other things. The shop opened in Longwood, Florida in 1984 and moved to Oviedo in 2007.

When we first discussed the clock with Christensen's, they said they could make the clock work again, that they were backlogged a few months, and they would give us a call when they could start working on our clock.
They did call, they did fix the clock, and they've been kind and professional in answering our questions about the clock and how to wind it, etc.
They clock is now on our mantel and works fine, including chiming.
I would use Christensen's again. They did the work well, they did what they said they'd do when they said they'd do it, and we liked working with them.

Excellent, though it took a while. Made a house visit to get it going on first day. Friendy, personable, knowledgable service.

We recently had repeat routine 4 year maintenance on the Grandfather clock that we purchased from them, before they moved, about 8 years ago. We have never had an issue with the clock. They were able to come out the next service day after I called for an appointment. Previous to purchasing this clock with them, we had repair done on a 100+ year clock that has been passed down in the family and stopped working after another company "cleaned" it. It has worked beautifully ever since. We had also taken another clock to them to repair that they told us was cheaper to replace than repair and was more for looks than to work, who knew! The provide honest service and value.

My wife's Grandfather Clock has not worked for more than ten (10) years. When wood floors were put in our home last summer, the clock was moved across the street with an old handcart. Parts were falling every step I took. Later, while driving on Colonial (Hwy. 50) , I saw a large van with this company's name next to me and their telephone number. The advertisement on the side said they made house-calls, which enthused me even more. We called, and three weeks later on the date they promised, Link and Eric were here at the exact time they promised. Both are very nice men. Within 30-minutes they had the clock working as if it were new. The sound is wonderful. They have a repair shop in Oviedo where clocks can be taken for repair or, once a week, they make house-calls. Their schedule is pretty full so be prepared to wait a little while before repairs can be made. Our Grandfather Clock is working wonderfully now and we could not be more pleased. Their work is guaranteed, so I know if we have a problem in the near future, they will return and fix it at no cost to us. What a deal! I highly recommend Christensen's Clockworks. It's what Angie's List is all about.
