Living out in the country, we do not have access to city water/sewer. We have a well and pump system. Last week I came home from work to hear the pump running. This is unusual as there is no need for the system to recharge when no one is home. I ran out to the pump to see water shooting out of a ballooned section of pvc just above the pump. When my spouse returned home, we replaced the pvc our selves. It worked for two days and blew again, but this time no water was shooting out. I decided to call a professional as there was obviously a bigger problem than we could see. I called a neighbor to get a referral. He gave me Tony Larsen's number. I called him first thing in the morning and he was able to come out the same day. He asked me a ton of questions to narrow down the problem. He found a leaky joint very quickly and replaced a few sections of pvc as this was where air was getting into the system. He put it all back together and tested the system over and over. It worked for one night. The next morning unfortunately the same thing happened. I called Tony immediately and he was over in about 30 minutes. He took some more pieces apart, did more tests and put it back together. Tested and retested. It worked for 4 days. Unfortunately, there may be a bigger problem underground. He was trying to go through all of the possibilities above ground first as these were the easier cheaper areas. I do not blame Tony for the break down of the system. There is a possibility that my pump may not be the best solution for my area as it's one from a big box store. He did recommend getting a professional model that doesn't have any plastic pieces and is much stronger. He understands that it can be difficult to budget a large purchase like that on the fly and is trying everything he can before we have to go that route.
Description of Work: I was referred to Tony by a neighbor. Tony is VERY polite and has SUPER manners! I was in a pinch because my well pump kept blowing out the pvc connections. He was able to get me back up and running in a couple of hours. Unfortunately there is more to the story than just bad pvc connections and Tony had to come back out the next morning to investigate the same problem. He again fixed it for no additional charge. I have a feeling that I will need a new professional model pump and I will be working with Tony on this!
