First off, I think this whole car moving business is a racket. You have to pay in full or they won’t release the car, but once you hand off the car, they can deliver whenever they like, no matter what time window they gave you. This is how it works no matter who you book with. I hired Mark despite a slightly higher price because of his good ratings here. In rating, it's really hard to distinguish between Mark as a broker and the company he hired to move the car. Fast Freight Trucking were the ones who caused most of our aggravation, but in the end I’m dinging Mark because he picked them (a company I later found out had a F rating on BBB) and when I said NEVER use this company again, he said they do good work and gave no indication he would not subject someone else to them. The pickup was on a Monday, and we reached out to both Mark and the company on Friday night when we still hadn't heard about pick up timing/location. Mark got back to us first thing on Monday, and said that since we hadn't heard, it would probably be later in the day, so my husband took the car. But no, the Fast Freight driver called at 10 and said we’ll be there at 11:15, pulling my husband out of a meeting. Then, crickets. I’ve read in other reviews that people got updates on their car’s progress, but nothing. The car was due 7-10 days later, so on day 8 I inquired again. On Day 9 I got a new estimate of 10-12 days out. On day 11, I inquired again. Mark contacted the company and they did call me back and say the car would be delivered on day 12, a Saturday, in the late afternoon or early evening. Saturday morning at 10:30 the driver called and said 4-6 pm. Then about 3:30 he told our daughter (who was receiving the car) that he’s met his 10-hour quota for the day and could not make it. Why he couldn’t count at 10:30 is not known. He said her options were to take an Uber for an hour and meet him there or take delivery of the car at 6 am Sunday morning. I called him back and he was adamant these were the only options. My daughter did not feel comfortable meeting an unknown man an hour away, so chose the 6 am delivery, but I think anyone would agree that a 6 am time is unreasonable, especially on a Sunday, especially if you’re 23. I went ballistic and contacted Mark who this time was reading email on a Saturday. Then the driver called and said he would drive the car to my daughter and take the Uber back. This is more detail than you need, but I do this to warn you how out of control you will be in this whole process, even if you use a top-rated Angie’s list broker. And your top-rated broker will think you should put up with this.

"I'm sorry Mrs. [Member Name Removed] feels this way. I will be the first to admit the carrier I hired (Fast Freight Trucking Inc.) fell well short of my standards when it comes to communication. Neither myself, nor Mrs. [Member Name Removed] were able to get updates in a timely manner regarding delivery. And, they didn't give Mr. [Member Name Removed] proper notice prior to pick up. For that I apologize. The vehicle was picked up on the exact date scheduled (6/17), and deliver was estimated for 6/26-6/29. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] indicated she was told 7-10 from the beginning, but that is not true. She even emailed me on the 6/10 (the date she booked this order) this: "I'm confirming with my husband, but this looks fine. Does the price include the $25 Angie'[Member Information Removed] list coupon? Also, what if the car is not delivered by the 29th?". To which I responded: "...there is never a guarantee because too may things could happen from pick up to delivery (weather, traffic, mechanical issues, other customers, etc...). Finally, the carrier did reach out on 6/29 to arrange delivery, but again Fast Freight Trucking Inc. dropped the ball. They miss calculated their log hours, but made every attempt they could think of to get the customer their vehicle. Delivery ended up being 6/30, one day later than the estimated delivery date, but the vehicle also arrived safely. This review is supposed to be for United States Transport. I am a transport broker, and I was always there to answer the phone, or respond to the emails of this customer. I have worked with this carrier dozens of times over the years, and never had any issues with communication like this."

Mark is outstanding and we were nervous to ship our sons car from OHIO to CA but after finding Mark, talking to him on the phone and reading the reviews we followed our instinct and decided to use him. What a great decision. He is very helpful, quick to follow up with email and phone calls and his price was competitive. Everything went smoothly. Mark, the owner, explained the process and told me not to pay him any money until he had a driver. I had read many horror stories about cars being shipped but Mark assured me that he had worked with the driver's company before with good results and expected nothing less. He also told me if I had any problems to call him and that I would always speak to him directly. Any questions I had, Mark was patient and answered them all. The driver arrived with my car safely. I gave the driver the money expected and he gave me a receipt. I would use U.S. Transport again.

When another transport company bailed on me, I reached out to United States Transport, as I was in a bind! Mark responded very quickly, was able to arrange transport for me on short notice, and the vehicle was delivered earlier than expected. I should have gone with Mark in the first place! Mark was extremely professional and responsive. I told him my budget and he came in beneath what I expected to pay, by reducing his fee. The company that he selected to ship my vehicle, VOB Transport, was very punctual and communicated well about pickup and delivery times. And, my vehicle arrived without damage. The last time I needed a car shipped by a different company a few years ago, it was a disaster. Mark and VOB were a breath of fresh air. I would definitely use both companies again.

My experience was amazing. The customer service was so personal. I was connected through the whole process. I called Mark on Monday afternoon and the truck was picked up Wednesday. Delivered earlier than estimated. They even washed it. Punctual. Friendly. Fair price and hands down A+ personal customer service. Try UST you will not be disappointed. I will use him again abd already referred a co worker.

Got what I felt was a reasonable quote. Agreed and paid in full with CC. Pickup was a day or two late as equipment broke down and they had to contract another driver/company. Initially, I was lead to believe that I had contracted with a company with all their own drivers. Not so. In any case, 3 days transit and delivered to my door. Car was pristine when picked up and filthy when delivered. I made the decision to use "open" transport. My bad. However, a gentle wash and a coat of way made it sparkle like new. No perceivable damage. I'd use them again but would probable opt for "closed" shipment and pay the extra cost.

Vehicle was delivered by date needed. The process just after the holidays took a little longer than I expected and was nerve wracking because of all the solicitations and scary stories you hear. Mark was professional from the start and seemed to be up front and ethical. So thankful that this transaction ended successfully when it involved my elderly mother and my daughter in college. Price was not the lowest quote, but not the highest either and I believe I made the right choice!

I was freaking out over the prospect of driving a big truck and towing my car on a car carrier! I knew it was a long shot, but I decided to see if I could get my car shipped that day or the next. I contacted a couple of other companies, that could not make it happen, and then I called Mark on Monday morning and explained my situation. He assured me that because the route I needed was very popular, that he was confident he could get it done and would get back to me. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Well, Mark did call me back and my car was picked up by the driver before noon! I couldn't believe it. My car arrived at my destination 3 days later, the same day I did! Mark was so great!! All I can say is, if you ever need a car shipped you should only call Mark Lajti at United States Transport!!!!
