Toucan Lawn Care & Pest Control

I called about some prickly weeds we found in the grass. I was told the only way to get rid of them was to kill the entire lawn and replace with new sod. Since our back yard was already mostly weeds I agreed and we negotiated what seemed a fair price. I was told that they would come kill the lawn, get the sprinkler guys out to make sure the irrigation was working and get the new sod in. That was the end of November. They took $1500 of my money and I have yet to see any of the services promised. I have called several times. First story was that the technician who killed my lawn jumped the gun as I wasn't on the schedule for a few weeks. Next story was that the weather was not reliable enough to put down sod. Next story was that I was coming up on the schedule; then back to the weather being unreliable. Here we are at March and my neighbors around the corner have had new sod for two weeks. and the girl at the office said, "I'll call you when I know anything". I have more than had it with this half-witted company.

Burn't my lawn up. Used chemicals not labeled for residential services, used chemicals on my property under a black out by my county  Volusia to not be used. They are using same chemicals not authorized to be used.  Each point can be proved. Be very very careful when selecting this company make double sure your not getting anything illegally applied on your lawn it can stress the lawn beyond repair. Ask first how much nitrogen being put down no nitrogen should be used between june and oct and what pesticides are being used along with weed control ask them by chemical name then call any John Deere Lessco office ask what's legal to be used and ask how much$$ for a sample test of soil after your treatment.. Finally ask tech to show there licenses one should be listed under company name then 2 more under holders name. Each should have a limited commercial applicators card if they don't ask to please leave property because they are working on your property illegally. Refer to florida agriculture dept for all questions.

Since hiring Toucan to do our lawn and bushes, our entire yard, especially the lawn, have deteriorated to the point my wife made the comment and quot;this lawn has never looked worse than it looks now.and quot; And she has been living here for the past 14 years. Toucan's pest control/insect control service is a farce. There are more bugs and moths than ever. I wonder if they just come and spray with water to minimize their costs.

The lawn service is a joke. We have more dry areas, areas infected with fungus, dirt/mud areas where insects have simply eaten away the green that was there before than when we started with Toucan perhaps 8-12 months ago. We came back from vacation two weeks ago, and my wife called them. They did come that afternoon to cover their rear end. Everything this guy told me was either an outright lie or shifting the blame to something else. The weather. The bugs. The way I cut my grass. The frequency with which I have my lawn cut. He says that the green grass that is growing is on account of their spraying. Noooooo, the grass that is growing is what is left of our yard since they have taken over. He kept blaming sod-wet-worm. He asked if I would like to see for myself what one looks like. I said yes, and then he proceeded to try and show me one, but could not find one single culprit that supposedly is destroying my lawn, and that Toucan seems not to be able to overcome, and that is after searching for ten minutes.

On a final note, the first time they sprayed our bushes, I have no idea what they put on them, but it burned them out and we had to pull the bushes out and get new ones. I would avoid Toucan like the plague. Your lawn will probably look a lot better if nothing is done to it than if you hire them at $100.00 bucks per month to completely ruin your lawn. I am going with someone else, and I hope they will be able to salvage what is left of our lawn.

They've been great so far! There are no complaints. Their service and all that was fine. I just need to wait and see the results on my lawn. They come and get it done and they leave.

They are very responsive to any concerns I have and come out right away. The also answer my calls and do a good job.

Super! Jeff does what he says he will do. He is as interested in having my lawn look good as I am. As I said - Toucan saved my lawn - and no weeds and no bugs.

They were recommended by my landscaper. They have an excellent service. Their customer service is fantastic. So, the price is fantastic for the services they provide.

They do the application twice a year. They are awesome. My trees are incredible. We have referred them to my homeowners association and they are now using them. They will come the same day if I need them.
