SALZBURG ANIMAL HOSPITAL

My boy made it through the first surgery but was not sewn up properly. He bled during the night. We rushed him back the next morning and he died in surgery. Please seek out a better veterinary practice. Dr. Salzburg’s arrogance will make you feel like he has the situation under control. I can defend every word of this review with my lawyer and the lawsuit that I successfully won. I wouldn’t use him for any animal ever but if you have a large or giant breed dog please seek out another vet.

The doctor was on vacation the week I tried to schedule an appointment but the nurses still gave me some prescription strength medicine so that I could start combating the tick infestation we were dealing with. They told me they didn't want them suffering just because the doctor was out of town. The day of the appointment, they were super gentle and attentive. I was happy when the office called the next day to see if the pups were having any reactions to the vaccinations... but I was impressed when they called the following week to see if the medicine was working. Within a week we had eliminated the tick problem:)

I was very impressed with the doctor and his staff. My dog, roxi, developed a Urinary tract infection while we were on vacation in Daytona Beach. They worked closely with my vet in Chicago so no unnecessary tests were done. He examined her, did some labs and prescribed an antibiotic. They even called in a few days to see how she was feeling. Dr. Salzburg was thorough, and I never felt rushed. He would be my vet if I lived in that area.

He is very thorough and if he does not agree with what other Vets recommend, he will tell you and tell you why. He will only do test that are age appropriate for your pet.

I really like the atmosphere and the office is clean. They are very friendly and really care about the animals.

It is a busy practice so they can run a few minutes-- no more than 10-- minutes behind. And Saturday hours--woo hoo!

He's great, he really is. They keep tabs on your pets. You're always notified of their annual exams, when your shots are due. Even within normal hours you can get an emergency appointment. They explain things and tell you about your pet. They will tell you if there's anything that they find. He just takes real good care of him.
