Bowman Painting

We were changing the color of our home and repainting after exterior upgrades. They did exceptional work, paying attention to all details through preparation, painting, trim and continuous touch-up through the whole process. It is an absolutely awesome job!!

We had in the past used a painter for painting the exterior of the house and we were not happy so we chose Bowman Painting to paint a door, and we found out afterwards that they had used the same painter that we had used for painting the outside of the house. We had them come out and I explained the whole situation to them about people who come in and say they can do the job and they do what they do, I told them that if they cannot do it, they shouldn't do it, I keep on doing myself or keep having to get someone to remedy what they do. They said they could do it and they came in and did a really bad job. The job was so bad, that I stood right there infront of the painter and asked him if he honestly believed that he did a good job and he said yes, and I looked at him and told him that was sad, because I am looking at blotches on my front door, I am looking at lines created by the brush. It was a brand new door and you shouldn't have lines on the door, I actually told the painter to stop, my husband was really upset and he told Mr. Bowman himself  and told told him that we wanted him to come over and take a look at the work and he said that was his best painter, but he didn't come and look at the work. That got me irate because he is the boss and he should come and look at the work and see what we are saying. My husband told him that he hoped they haven't ruined a USD 1000 door and at that point, he realized that it was serious. He never came and he just said lets call it quits and leave it alone. I explained to the painter, that it wasn't an issue of money, so if he had to do somethings, then I was willing to pay more. I will never use them again. They were supposed to pay the interior of the house and I told my husband that if they can't paint a door, how will they paint the ceiling lines and all. I had to resand the door and then repaint it myself and that is not what I call in people for. They were even supposed to paint the outside of the windows but we didn't let them do that. The price was very good if they would have done what they were supposed to do but the workmanship was lousy. They were punctual and they came on time. They were not very professional in terms of responding to us when we asked them to come back and look at the job. It is not professional to leave someone with the door looking like it was. I called Mr. Bowman to tell him that the painter said we should have told him that we wanted to spray paint the door, we asked them to paint the door and we didn't ask them to brush paint or spray paint it.
