They diagnosed the problem and fixed the car. Diag,parts labor under $200. Dealer wanted $125 just to diagnose the car.

I thought my car needed a new alternator, and as a woman who knows very little about automotive repair, I could easily have been duped into paying for one. Kenny put his guys on it, and he called me within just a few hours to let me know they had found the problem (loose cables/wiring) and had repaired it. When I arrived, he told me there was no charge. Like always, terrrific service.  Ken is always willing to do pick up or drop off in bad weather as we only live about 1.5 miles from the shop.  On many occasions, Auto Works has "save" my daughter from automotive disaster and provided the service at very reasonable cost.

Done professionally punctually at reasonable cost. They service  2 of my cars and are a pleasure to work with.

Ken and crew have been great in handling car repairs for my daughter who is going to college in the area. Three times I have had issues in the last 6 months and the repairs have been done very quickly and fairly. Thanks to them, my daughter has not had to miss any classes due to car trouble.

Daughter's VW jetta was running rough and occasionally not starting on the first try. Called Ken at Auto Works based on other review and proximity. He agreed to look at the car the next day (and would provide drop off and pickup). Took about 1 hour to diagnose the main issue. Ken called and described the work in detail (tem and gave an exact estimate. car was finished by the end of the day and my daughter reports that it runs as it should.(another garage had said that the car need a new catalytic converter, which I doubted. That would have been a major expense and would not have fixed the car)

First, let me say that we have been using Auto Works of Ormond (also known as Auto Works of Holly Hill) for several years and have always found the service, availability, communication and price to be excellent. In this instance our son, who is going to school in Orlando (about 70 miles away) called to say his car was not running properly and feared it would break down completely soon. He was able to get it to one of the major chain auto service stores in the Orlando area (which shall remain unnamed, but Boy oh Boy oh Boy, you can bet we're never going there again!) where he was charged $103.48 for a diagnostic test and told that his car needed more than $7,000 in repairs. He was able to get the car home to Ormond Beach, where the folks at Auto Works looked at it immediately and told us the problem was a simple coolant temperature switch which would only cost about $100 (including labor) to repair. While working on the car, they discovered that the timing belt had some cracks and would soon fail, possibly destroying the engine and causing thousands of dollars in damage. They contacted us with this information, were quoted a price (about $300) that was more than fair, and we authorized the repair. The work was completed within a few hours and the car is now running perfectly. Many times over the years, we have relied on the people at Auto Works of Ormond for fair, honest and timely service. It is nice to have a repair shop that we can can trust, and I pleased to give my unequivocal and wholehearted endorsement and thanks to Auto Works of Ormond.
