The gutter guards were installed by using the access openings of our screen enclosure to the patio. However, these openings are spaced about 6 feet apart with restricted access in one of the openings due to the spa. As a result, the guards are incorrectly installed causing a section of the guard (these guards are 15 ft lengths) to sag or dip into the gutters. This occurs in two places and in the area with limited access. Company refuses to honor warranty. In fact, they claim that this condition is acceptable. (They did come and take a look, that WAS IT) The Owner refuses to pay a visit for the purpose of reviewing this installation. A complaint was issued to the BBB. This company has a history of complaints filed by the BBB.

THE MEMBER HAS ALREADY COMPLAINED TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WHO HAVE DISMISSED HIS COMPLAINT. WE INSTALLED GUTTER GUARDS FOR THE MEMBER ON 10/5/07, WE USE A VERY GOOD QUALITY GUARD AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THESE TO SAG. THE MEMBER HAS CONCERNS BECAUSE HE CAN’T SEE 2 AREAS FROM THE GROUND AND THINKS THEY MUST BE SAGGING. WE OFFER A ONE YEAR GUARANTEE ON ALL MATERIALS AND LABOR SO OUR SENIOR INSTALLER WHO HAS 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE WAS SENT TO THE MEMBER'S HOME TO CHECK OUT THE INSTALLATION. HE FOUND THAT EVERYTHING WAS INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND EVEN TOOK THE MEMBER UP THE LADDER TO SHOW HIM, THE MEMBER WAS HAPPY WHEN OUR INSTALLER LEFT. THE MEMBER STATES THAT PROPER INSTALLATION OF THESE GUARDS IS FROM THE ROOF, THIS IS NOT TRUE, WE ARE ABLE TO INSTALL THIS PRODUCT (FROM THE GROUND) USING LADDERS. THE MEMBER ALSO HAS CONCERNS THAT THE GUTTER GUARDS WILL SAG OVER TIME AFTER A BUILDUP OF LEAVES, THE HOMEOWNER SHOULD BE AWARE THAT LEAVES MUST NOT BE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO “BUILD UP OVER TIME”. IT IS ALWAYS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THE GUTTERS, GUTTER GUARDS AND DOWNSPOUTS FREE OF ALL DEBRIS. IF THE LEAVES ARE LEFT TO BUILD UP THEY WILL STOP THE GUTTER GUARDS FROM WORKING PROPERLY AND WILL PREVENT WATER FROM ENTERING THE GUTTERS AT ALL! THE MEMBER CALLED OUR OFFICE AND SPOKE TO OUR OWNER, HE WAS UPSET BECAUSE WE CHARGED A CALL OUT FEE (THIS WAS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE) WE WAIVED THE FEE FOR HIM. WE DID ALL WE COULD TO MAKE THE MEMBER HAPPY. WE HAVE MANY HAPPY CUSTOMERS!!
