Owner of Wulff fence, Austin Wulff, is very unprofessional and unethical. When we first decided to hire Austin he gave us the run around and postponed our starting date due to the rain. The night before the rescheduled date we texted him to make sure he was coming the following day and he informed us he didn't have the funds to buy the material which he should've already had the week prior when he postponed due to the weather. When he finally showed up to do the job we asked him for proof of insurance, contractor license, and permit which he didn't have any of them. He stated he was going to pull a permit as soon as he left our home but we found out 3 days later he did not get the permit. It clearly states in his contract that the permit is included. We had to take off work to go pull a permit since he did not do this for us as stated clearly in his contract. When asked if he pulled the permit Austin stated that he had got it. When i told him he did not and we went down and pulled the permit on our own. Austin clearly lied that he pulls a permit. It took them 4 days to complete our fence due to them showing up in the middle of the afternoon to start each day. Once the job was completed we realized they didn't pour an adequate amount of concrete and the fence was very wobbly and unstable. He was very unwilling to come out and pour more concrete to stabilize the fence. The only reason the issue got resolved was because we withheld the other half of the funds and the workers were just trying to get paid and fixed the issue on their own time. About 4 days went by when our dogs escaped the yard and almost got hit by a car. We couldn't figure out how that was possible because we made sure they couldn't slip through a 4" gap prior to having the fence installed. We put them in the back yard then watched from a distance when they slipped right through the bars on the corner of the fence. When we looked at it we realized they added an extension piece because the fence was improperly installed and didn't line up correctly which left a 6" gap at the bottom. The only reason the issue was resolved was because we ran into one of his workers at the gas station and he came out on his own time again and corrected the issue for us. Even still today the fence isn't symmetrical but we tolerate it because anytime we have a conversation with Austin he is extremely unprofessional (see picture texts). We also had 9 bent bars that needed to be replaced that his worker bent back for us while he was here. We wanted all the bars completely replaced but he refused to do so. When Austin showed up at our home for the final payment, the stench of alcohol on him was overwhelming. He was clearly drunk and I should have turned him away at the point but we just wanted this situation over with. Finally almost a month went by and we thought Austin was permanently out of our lives when he posted some rude comments on my business page on social media. He keeps texting my fiancé his address for him to come over to his home insinuating unknown circumstances. This has led us to create our own webpage to document and show the facts about Austin of Wulff Fence and his unprofessional and unethical business and personal practices. I have also contacted the local news stations to tell our story about shady contractors. Austin of Wulff Fence is not a contractor or company that i could refer anyone to for work. Ricky came out bid the job, provided awesome communication, The guys showed up did great work. Site built my fence, this thing should last years. I've attached pictures of my before and after to show the quality work. My neighbor is happy because they worked right with him to reconnect to his fence upon completion, my landscaper is happy because they asked him how to best suit his needs on the new gate. I'm very happy at the quality. Highly recommend.

The initial calls were great. Very helpful and prompt with responses. Price matched another quote we got and won the bid because they could get us in sooner. The installer arrived right on schedule and completed the job well in my opinion. The issue began when I asked about the mildew/mold on the brand new lumber. The installer told me that it would go away once the sun hit it. Of course, it did not. We then tried repeatedly to contact them. We do know that there was a family emergency and were sensitive to that. Weeks later we still tried to contact with no call back. Sent pictures etc. I ended up spending a few hours having to scrub a brand new fence. There were small installation issues that we would have overlooked and given a better rating (like the tags left on the lumber that are visible, or the fact that the lumber for the posts weren’t perfect) but getting ignored after the job was done was a bummer.

Austin Wulff, owner, was out in our neighborhood to provide an estimate for fence replacement in less than 2 days after I called him. Austin provided a most fair estimate in one day, and promised to start our project after emergency/elderly/disabled folks got service first. Within one week, Austin called to see if his crew could start the project !The answer, of course, was YES, and the Wulff Fence crew, Darren and Brandon, did an AWESOME job building a new fence AND removing the shattered debris from the old fence. Their fence line was plumb, straight, and level for ALL 144 FEET ! INCREDIBLE ! And the pressure-treated fence was very nice looking, as well ! I heartily recommend them and Wulff Fence and will definitely use them again .! In addition, all of our neighbors grabbed business cards to start THEIR fence projects ! THANKS !

The price was right. I had to have him come back out and I've made it very clear that it need to go which ever way to the Grandma's that has dogs. So I had to have him come back to our place make sure it was the way I want it but he did. I would use this provider again in the future.

Wulff Fence provided a full fencing installation at my residence. This included a complete removal of my old fence and new installation while preserving a multitude of plants and a pond. Both of which were aligned directly next to my fence. Wulff Fence also installed two large gates and secured the area to be sure my two small animals will not escape. Wulff Fence supplied the permits and picked up all materials. Austin Wulff was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely refer him to my friends and family in the future. I am extremely happy with his services.
