Description of Work: Damper in refrigerator stuck so refrigerator did not cool. Replaced but part was defective so Vic had to order a second part. When that was replaced refrigerator worked fine

Description of Work: He was busy with other customers but asked me to send a photo of the washer and the model number. From that, he was able to get a new switch for the washer door and was able to swap it out in under 15 min when he arrived at our house.

Description of Work: Some time ago my Whirlpool dryer would not start, so I contacted Vic's Appliance Repair. The man that answered the phone told me that he could send his son over. I told me that he charged $65.00 bucks for the evaluation regardless if he carried out the repair or not. I asked if would take credit card. He told me that his son was quite a distance from me and needed gasoline so cash was preferred. When his son arrived he looked at the unit and told me that it was the circuit board within the panel without opening the unit. He showed me some diagrams of parts that he had in the cell phone. That the part had to be ordered to Whirlpool, because he did not have it. I paid him $80.00 dollars (4 bills of $20.00) and he told me that he did not have change and could not give me a receipt. I told him that he could add the extra $15.00 to the bill to be paid and send me the receipt. I was informed that the part would take two weeks to arrive. I decided to to search in Youtube and found out that the circuit was not the isssue. It was that sometimes the unit will not start if the End Cycle Alarm is off. I reset the alarm and the unit began to work without issues. I contacted Vic's Appliances Repair and told him that I had not received a receipt for the $80.00 that I had given his son. The man told me that he was going to remind his wife to send it to me when he went back to the office. I also told him that his services were not required anymore, because that I had fixed the unit. That instead to send me back just $15.00, the difference from deducting the $65.00 for evaluation of the unit. He said it was ok, and the receipt for the $65.00 nor my $15.00 were returned to me as he promised to do. I am weary about using Angie's List again. Probably I won't get my $15.00 bucks back, but I least I told somebody...

Description of Work: Repaired refrigerator. Had all parts on truck. Did work promptly and courteously. Will definitely recommend and use again.

Description of Work: Ice maker on Side by side Fridgidaire refrigerator stopped working. Explained symptoms to Vic over phone. He predicted what part had failed and came by house to look at unit within one hour. Confirmed what part had failed and ordered part on phone. Part came in on Wed before Thanksgiving and he came over that evening and replaced it so we would have ice for holiday weekend. Bery happy with responsiveness and skill level. Will use in future.
