The crew removed the old roof before they were informed of challenges with the pitch. Only option was to move forward. The roof leaked where it was attached to the house. Returned twice to deal with leaking. Also mismeasured the location of a beam necessary to install a ceiling fan so it was off center. The roof still leaks and we couldn't hang the fan in it's off-kilter location.
Response from US Aluminum Services
"Project was installed on 10/7/2011; we agreed that we had a roof leak on 6/14/2012 that was address and repairs On 4/6/2017 Homeowner contacted us again, we explained again that the warranty had expired and we could complete the service with a $75 service fee. Homeowner advised she no longer needed the service as they didn't want to pay for the service fee. below is our warranty policy, We understand homeowners frustrations and it is unfortunate that we were not able to satisfy them with our warranty policy. Our previous enclosure and roof had stood for almost 20 years with no leaks and only having to replace 3 screen panels during those years.
Five years ago, it rained for 2 weeks straight and our roof collapsed under the pressure.
US Aluminum came and replaced the old structure, including a whole new pool enclosure.
Within a few months, I noticed small drips of water coming from the roof when it rained. It got steadily worse. Now, when it rains, our indoor/ outdoor carpet gets soaked! Also, we've had to replace at least 10 screen panels in the last five years.
I didn't contact the company sooner, due to the fact the my husband was battling Cancer and I didn't have time to mess with drips.
As it has gotten steadily worse, I emailed the company last week. Two more screens had come down and my carpet was soaked.
I was told that our warranty had long expired, which I knew. I just wanted to inform them that they had done shoddy work.
I got a call back from them and was told that we were supposed to Calk the seams on our roof every year! In all the years prior, with our old roof, we never had a single leak and we were never informed that we had to Calk the seams!
I contacted several other companies and asked about caring for the aluminum roof. I was told by all of them that this should not be the case and that this roof should have lasted at least fifteen years, like the last one did.
I just had two more screens replaced this morning and was told that the screens that we have, done by US Aluminum, were the thinnest and cheapest screen made and should never have been used for a pool enclosure!
I feel that the least they could do would be to come and caulk the roof for us.
I wouldn't use this company again if they were the only one in this area!!!

Things started off great, then declined so fast. The short story is that my porch needed 3 different inspections and 3 different fixes, which were not being done correctly. Then after making a stupid design choice about the location of the downspout (or not even realizing they needed to think about location), I contacted them to change it as it had caused a stream in my yard. After who knows how many discussions they show up and put it the wrong way. Then when I call them and they tell me there is a $150 fee to change it to the correct location. The downspout is now pouring water towards my house.
Response from US Aluminum Services
"As the homeowner indicated, we unfortunately did fail the final inspection and a technician was scheduled twice to make corrections, before passing the second final inspection with the City of Altamonte Springs. However, the downspout was installed per the contract with the homeowner, to engineer’s specification and according to permit approval from the city. The downspout was placed on the end of the screen room and the extension was located to move water away from the house. The homeowner was advised that the downspout was not the issue, but that the yard slope and conditions, were causing some water to settle for a longer period of time in their yard. Based on the pictures provided by the homeowner, the water was draining away from the house as it should be. We gave options to redirect the extension of the downspout but advised that this would not fix the issue and recommended they work with a landscaper. The homeowner requested we move the downspout to the other end of the screen room which is in the center of their yard. We advised the homeowner that this change to the screen room could be done at an addition cost. After the homeowner expressed their disappointment, the project manager agreed to do this at no cost. The project manager was then advised by homeowner they didn’t want this work to be done by our company and they would hire another contractor. The homeowner also requested we stop contacting them and asked for all emails to be deleted from our records. We responded letting the homeowner know if they changed their mind, we would honor our offer to move the downspout at no charge. US Aluminum Services strives to provide excellent customer service and to ensure customer satisfaction. Our offer stands on moving the downspout at no additional charge and the homeowner can contact us at their earliest convenience to schedule service. US Aluminum Services has been proudly serving Florida Residents and Developers since 2003, completing approximately 1700 projects annually. Our founder and President is a licensed General Contractor and has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry."

They did a great job. The workers were friendly and worked efficiently. They got it done in a timely manner. The clean-up afterwards could have been better. They left some stuff around. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

Communication was horrible from the start. Salesman measured, drew up and "sold" us the desired product. The company came and ripped the original roof off and then informed us the new materials they ordered were too thick to replace the old roof properly. It would have been nice to have the choice to keep the original OLD roof that didn't leak and that fit properly, but the owner did not communicate with his demolition team. The owner said that by using flashing under the roof shingles the new roof would work so the work progressed. The day of completion we had horrible thunder storms and the roof leaked at every seam where it was attached to the house roof. Water was even coming from the soffit vents. Called owner who assured us it would be fixed. We clearly said no foam or quick fixes, so he suggested adding flashing under the roof shingles to overlap ALL seams where the roof joined the house (the length and width of the screen room), and not just the original corner where flashing was installed. Additional rain and additional leaks, so they came out again. This time they squirted foam under the flashing and put caulk at the flashing seams. My husband and I both expressed our concern that this was a temporary fix that would not last. In addition, the installers put the fan/light beam 12" off center in the new roof, despite clear instruction on their drawing to the correct location for the install. Another example of poor communication or sheer incompetence. We have never added a fan or light because it would be in the wrong place and look obscure. One year after the warranty expired, guess what? The roof is leaking again. Called to have a technician come look at it and they want to charge $75 and will not work with us on any level to offset cost to repair. We agreed to pay for the service tech but told them we would not pay one cent more. Even went through the BBB to give them a chance to do the right thing and fix what they caused. They stand behind their warranty date. If you go with this company, don't be surprised by poor communication between salesman and construction crew, owner and consumer. Get an extended warranty if you have ANY questions about the way they are going to "fix" something in a way that is not regarded as customary. Better yet, stay away from using this business.

Our founder and President is a licensed General Contractor and has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. US Aluminum Services installed the aluminum roof for Mrs. S. This installation did take place in October 2011. As the Homeowner stated we did have an issues with the leak; June 2012 that was corrected shortly after the warranty request was made. Our records indicate that no other request for a leak was made after June 2012 until March 25, 2015 Homeowner was advised the warranty had expired and we would be able to send out a service technician at a service charge. Homeowner decided not to schedule the service. We do not offer an extended warranty US Aluminum Services, Corp. guarantees for 2 full years all material and workmanship, and 5 years for the Screen Enclosures and Pool Enclosures Aluminum Frames against crazing, cracking, chipping, peeling and blistering. This has been the worst experience in working with any company. This company is incompetent. They were hired to install a screen enclosure over the pool. They showed up the first time with incorrect plans, incorrect materials and were unable to do the job. The second time they put up the screen enclosure lopsided because the measurements were wrong. Actually, they put up two walls and a roof, the third wall panels don't fit, because they measured one side higher than another. This company takes no accountability for its mistkes. We are now in the process of trying to get someone to speak to us about how this will be remedied.

Quoted me a price of $2300 then raised the price to $2700 in middle of job then wanted me to feel sorry for them and told me they lost money on job.
So here it is a year later and my screen is ripped with holes in it because they did a lousy job.

It took way too long. Communication was very poor and quality of detailed work was poor. I had to get on them about everything. The contractors were not fully briefed on the scope of the job and were leaving a lot of things out. The final caulking was pourous and unprofessional. Sunlight was coming through all the joints and they wouls have left it that way if I did not press them. It was a, horrible experience.

They have been a night more to work with do not follow through on time nice given. The subcontractor hired for decorative columns was crusted and sloppy left mess. The contractor does not return calls. Was told the room would be complete and July? They are still working on it.

We got several bids and chose US Aluminum because their price was competitive and we thought they were more reputable because they're a larger company. The salesman who came out for the estimate was very pleasant and helpful. The contract said to allow 2-3 weeks for work to begin. We signed on 6/28 and work didn't begin until 8/20 and that is only after we called a few times. Typically we got no answer when we called, always having to leave a message and responses weren't particularly prompt. The workers came and placed the formboards and some rebar, then concrete was supposed to be poured the next day. My husband is an engineer and luckily he knew that they should have drilled rebar into the existing concrete to properly attach the new slab. This is especially important in our case because our backyard is downward sloping and over time the 2 slabs could detach without that extra rebar. The workers wouldn't listen to him so we had to call the production supervisor and it caused about a week delay in the project. Ultimately they were responsive to his requests, but it wouldn't have been done properly if we hadn't spoken up.
Everything went pretty smoothly after that and the project was completed on 9/14. In the end we are very happy with how the work turned out and the quality of the patio. We were notified each time workers were scheduled to be at our house and they were always there on time. The only negative was that they didn't replace the dirt or the grass around the perimeter of the patio that was torn up as part of this job. So they left us with a little bit of work to do. We would have answered the question and quot;would you use this provider in the future?and quot; as and quot;maybeand quot; if that were an option.

Project went poorly form the start . We gave them a 1,400 dollar deposit and it took them more than 4 months to begin the job. They kept giving us excuses on why they were late in starting the project.
We kept calling and kept getting promises. Then they finally send a crew that does a couple of hours of work and then nobody comes back for another month and a half.
Finally they begin working and I have to call the manager because the measurements he gave the crew are off , The crew has covered the pool drainage channel 3/4 of the way .I call the manager and tell him they have to move it and this guy tries to tell me its ok. Finally with a few minutes of arguing he agrees to change it.
Almost all the measurements he gave the crew had to be modified for the room to be installed correctly. Crew worked well and was polite .Finally, the job is done and the room looks great. It rains and the room fills with rainwater. I call them and after talking to a bunch of people , they finally send a supervisor to fix it. Supervisor says crew did not caulk correctly.
Besides all the things listed above the company seems to not communicate amongst each other.. Every time I called someone to get service, they would not pass messages on to the people who needed to do the work.

I signed a contract for this service on February 25, 2013 with another provider. US Aluminum was the primary subcontractor who did about 90% of the overall work. A design was produced and agreed upon within one week, and a permit was acquired in early March. Workmen appeared in my backyard without notification or a courtesy doorbell in early March to dig a trench for the foundation. The trench then had to be inspected before concrete could be poured. An inspector was scheduled and was going to overlook three relatively minor faults with the trench on March 12, but the permit had been sent to the contractors' Orlando office instead to the job site (Tampa), so the inspector issued a Correction Notice since he had to come back anyway. The inspector could have returned the next day, but US Aluminum sent the permit by regular mail instead of overnight, so the inspection was delayed a week (weekend intervening).
Thus began an experience of one delay or reschedule after another that were entirely the fault of US Aluminum such that the project was not completed until June 11. It took four months to complete a project that actually required only 14 work days.
Throughout this process, US Aluminum has demonstrated a poor or complete lack of appreciation for the customer by not providing any information on scheduling, except after repeated or insistent requests by the prime contractor. It unfortunatly became common and expected that US Aluminum would not meet construction schedules. The prime contractor has informed me of their intention not to use US Aluminum in the future.
I would caution anyone looking for a reliable pool enclosure contractor to steer clear of US Aluminum.

We were surprised that a company of such high caliber was the lowest bid, but they were, so we hired them right away.
That being said, we did have one major snag that was quite frustrating to deal with. When the area was first dug out to prepare for the concrete, I received a call stating that there was an electrical box for the sprinkler system that we needed to have moved before construction could continue. The woman I spoke to had no idea what this box was, where exactly it was or what it looked like, only that we needed to have a sprinkler expert come out and move it. We had someone take a look and he had no idea what to look for and nothing was jumping out at him. US Aluminum emailed a picture of what we were looking for and as it turns out, the workers had gotten our house confused with someone else! We wasted a whole week trying to get this figured out and it was all over nothing! The workers had also left 5 very large nails in the yard when they removed the form boards after the concrete pour. I'm glad I saw them before my dog stepped on them.
Other than that, we are very pleased with the work and delighted with our new porch! We are on our way right now to buy furniture!

I contacted the company for an estimate. The representative came to my house and provided guidance on extending and screening my porch, determining which screening to go with and where to put the door. He was very helpful. I obtained HOA approval for the improvements. The company filed the application for the building permit and the Notice of Commencement. They contacted me once they received the building permit and then they came out and removed the sod and capped the sprinkler heads. A few days later they poured the concrete and a few days later screened in the porch. All in time for the Christmas Holiday! The nice thing is that most of the work was completed while I was at work. I did not have to stay home and monitor what they were doing each time they came out. I love my new porch!!

Terrible! It was promised to be dont in 6 weeks it took 3 months. Rejected twice for not following the building permitConstant leaksPromised to have a crew of three - supervisor + 2 workers -- we were lucky if one worker showed. The workers never looked at the plans.

We wanted to extend our screened pool enclosure, so we contacted a few firms for advice and quotes. We were very fortunate that US Aluminum sent along Chris Kulik as their representative. Other companies were prepared to build us a new screened enclosure but Chris wanted to build us a GREAT pool enclosure. His enthusiasm; examples of previous work and material samples convinced us of the quality of the components and the engineering. (Not all aluminum is equal in quality and strength.)
US Aluminum's quote was actually the highest but their concept was the best. We figured that a few hundred extra dollars would be well spent on the US Aluminum product.
The finished product exceeded the concept: surpassing our expectations and making us realize that Chris Kulik's enthusiastic descriptions of possibilities had been understatements. We did, indeed get GREAT.
Now, we can sit and enjoy our new screened porch: while admiring the graceful curve of the roof. It really does look better than the previous porch and the construction is sound.
Our conclusion: the few extra hundred dollars were, indeed, well spent. We know someone who recently had a screened porch erected from scratch. It looks fine but we can easily see the superiority of our US Aluminum product.

The project went great. They started a bit late in the day, but that made it more difficult on them because it got brutally hot. It did not impact the overall job. The arrived on the day they said they would and actually finished ahead of time. They were terrific. In addition, about 8 months later we found a tear in the screen, they came out and repaired it the next day. I think they were a terrific value, and my screen room and pavers look terrific.
