ULTIMATE GARAGE DOORS

We googled 'garage door repair' and came up with www.justgaragedoors.com. On that website, it appears to be a company called America's Choice Overhead Garage Door Co. On the site it lists addresses, one of which was in Tampa, and an 800# to call. My husband called and told the operator we had a broken garage door and were looking for someone to repair it. We received a phone call from someone (caller ID said William Hernandez) who scheduled the appointment. When he came, my husband told him what the problem was. Mr Hernandez didn't even look at it, and was not dressed as a repair person. He had a clipboard. He immediately told my husband that we would need a new garage door. Don asked him if he couldn't repair it, he said "you wouldn't be happy with it." It would be one thing if he examined it and then decided that it was a lost cause. However, it took him less than a minute to say that we would have to have a whole new mechanism. They never intended to repair anything. And, when my husband said no thanks, he said "that will be $26." So basically we paid $26 for a sales call. The web site specifically lists service and repair as part of their services. This was a bait and switch. As a footnote: it's hard to tell what company this really is. The website said America's Choice Overhead Garage Door Co, the receipt said Garage Door Service Co., we had to make the check out to A-Able Garage Doors, and his shirt said Absolute Garage Door co.
