owner was abrupt and rude on phone .... I would be careful if you have any conflicts dealing with this company. I choose not to use them. Their true personality is less than ideal.

Tom's Stump Grinding Service was very prompt in providing a quote and subsequently completing the job of grinding down two stumps and the remnants of several large hedges.
They did a great job at a very reasonable cost.  
In addition to the main stump they worked on, they completed the job left by a previous stump grinding company who indicated they couldn't remove any more for fear of hitting the main water line to the house.  While I understand they were cautious, it was obvious that much more could have been done.  Tom's Stump Grinding Service handled it without a hitch.

They are always very quick to respond to service requests, often the same day. Very reasonable costs and great quality.

Could not have gone better. Tom looked at the stump, quoted me a very fair price
and had it removed with his heavy duty stump grinder w/i 20 minutes. I would recommend
him to others and would use him again.

Excellent, Tom did the work quickly and at a great price.

The grinding went well. The operator worked until the job was finished. It took about 3 hour’s total. Since there is a lot of debris from the stump grinding the operator told me he would come back for free if I found any stump still left. He was professional and pleasant. Well worth the money.

Good job and quick service

The company came out and did an excellent job. The plam tree stump was very close to the house. He was so accurate and did not damage the house. We cleaned up the mulch ourselves keeping the cost down. We recommend this company very highly.

They were very good. They finished the job within a couple of hours. They did the job and left and it was easy to work with them.

It was a professional job, very well done, reasonably priced and we're very happy with the work that was done.

I was trully amazed at how quickly and efficiently Dave got the work done. These were two stumps that my husband and I had worked on for a week before finally giving up!! I looked at Angies List and found Toms Stump Grinding, gave Tom a call and he sent his son out the next day. We agreed on a price and asked when he could do the work. To our surprise and delight, he said he would do it on the spot!!! Within the hour the two stumps were gone!! Should have called Tom first instead of trying to do it ourselves!!!

I called Tom's Stump Grinding on a Tuesday about 4:30.PM to get an
estimate. I was told they would be there before noon on Wednesday.I
received a call about 11 AM on Wednesday saying they were running behind
and would be mid afternoon. I received a call about 3:30 PM saying they
were on they other side of town and could they come tomorrow.I ask what
time and was told Thursday morning before noon and they would call. The
call came at 11:22AM Thursday saying they were getting ready to leave
and would call and give time they would be there. It is now 4:30 on Thursday and no call or explanation
I spent 2 days wasted on their scheduling that didn't happen.
I use Angie's list and think this note says it all.

Roger called all day Friday.I returned call Monday.Met him about 12.He gave me a price that I agreed to work was completed.
It must have been a bad day Thursday for him. The work was completed and I was satisfied and would recommenced him and would use again.

Everything was outstanding.

He grounded four or five stumps. He was great. I even referred him to my neighbor.

He was excellent. He was very nice. I called him and I could not be home but he offered to grind the stump up and bill me later.

Tom was very thorough and really enjoyed his work. I would recommend him to anyone for this kind of work. His equipment was top notch.

I called Tom's on a Saturday and a representative showed up the same day when they said they would. They initially bid a price of $200. I told them that was more than I wanted to spend and asked if I could lower the price by removing some of the limbs myself. He then lowered the price to $150 on the spot, so had him do the whole job for that amount. I thought this was still a little high, but I had used them before and knew they would do a professional job.
