I called Textures by Blue Sky to repair my bathroom ceiling after a plumbing repair. These guys were wonderful. They arrived promptly and I showed them what needed to be repaired. They had the job done quickly and it looks amazing. What was outstanding about these workers was they brought their covid masks, were very friendly, and they took care of my brand new hardwood floors covering them completely with plastic - without my asking and all they way out on the driveway even. Most repair guys these days leave some kind of mess behind. Textures by Blue Sky thoroughly cleaned up any mess they made, even wiping down the door handles and the floors before they left to make sure all the dust was completely off of them. The area they worked in was left immaculate i don't have to clean up or dust after them. I am very impressed with their job, it looks stunning and once it is painted you won't even be able tell a patch is in the ceiling because they matched the ceiling texture perfectly. (It is still wet in the photo, as they just left.) Thank you Textures by Blue Sky. I highly recommend them!

I called Blue Sky after getting recommendation on Angie's List. I sent pictures of the area needing repair. I was told the job would be $400 and they could do it in 2 days. I sent an email back asking how much would it cost to paint. All of a sudden the quote changed and I was told that the job would cost $850 and if I wanted it painted it would be $150 for the ceiling and $200 for the wall. Nothing had changed on my part and they had the pictures from the very beginning. I was confused as to why the quote changed and the discussion became contentious. I was able to find someone from Angie's List who did the job described with drywall removed, loose texture scraped off and re-textured , all for $300 same day called and completed in 1 1/2 hours. I gave them a low score for professionalism, but they seem to do quality work from the reviews. I would just say get the quote in writing!

"Yes the first quote was to skim the drywall already there and texture the drywall already there. Then you asked "for us to remove and replace the drywall". So yes the quote did change as it was two different jobs. 1. just scrape loose texture off from water damage, skim drywall still in place and texture. 2. REMOVE damaged drywall, INSTALL new drywall, then the same process as above. So yes the price did change as much more work was required when you changed the scope."

I caught their employee in my wife’s personal bathroom, The door was closed and plastic over door that the employee had to cut to gain entry. she keeps her jewelry and our medications there. Police were called immediately we are retired senior citizens. My wife cried for two hours while she disinfected her bathroom. Once police were called employee in question was gone. We are scared that employee will return and retaliate. Owner Clay Olson that I talked with on phone could have cared less. Only that the several photos I took with my phone while waiting for employee to exit bathroom didn’t show him with any of our belongings in his hands. If you use this company do not let their employees out of your sight.

Yes the police were called and yes a report was made and you requested three days to verify nothing was missing and to pay us after you checked. Which we of course obliged. You called three days later and paid and said nothing was missing. Jesus has been with us for 8 years and is guilty of poor judgement or lapse of manners BUT he is not a thief or drug abuser looking for drugs. You found him coming out of the bathroom NOT looking through drawers or things. Again, I apologize for a serious lapse in manors and judgement in not asking before using the bathroom. Company protocol is for the crew chief to request a bathroom for the crew IF the need arises and our crew chief did not do that and Jesus did not ask either. Defiantly a mistake on my associates part. Both of those associates have been with me 8 and 10 years respectively. They are hard workers and great guys. They failed in the manners and procedures part that day. I apologize again for their lapse in judgement."

The crew of three spent time to seal all rooms off. They also sealed the flooring. They additionally sealed the entry, the sidewalks and driveway. They stripped the popcorn and applied knock down. They were very thorough and very polite. The crew leader explained every step. The clean up was perfect. They swept and removed all debris from inside and hosed off the walkways and driveway. Another crew is scheduled for Saturday to paint the ceilings.

I originally hired them Nov. 2018 to repair and refinish my garage ceiling. When they were done, the ceiling looked very nice. However one of the repaired seems started coming down about a month or two after the work, which they came out and repaired. Another seam came down a few months later. The damage was made worse by an electrician that I had hired to install a ceiling fan. The guy who came out and repaired the seam felt the damage was 50-50 between them and the electrician. I offered to pay for some of the repairs, but they said don’t worry about it. Kudos to Blue Sky. Other parts of the texture on the ceiling started falling off a few months later. I called Blue Sky and he indicated the interior grade sheet rock my garage ceiling had, made it very difficult for the texture to stay adhered to. I wish I had known that in the beginning. He offered to do a complete replacement job using exterior grade sheet rock or do vinyl bead board, and knock off the $1400 that I paid with the original work. I chose the vinyl bead board as that was about the same cost as the other and is more durable and long lasting. They came out and did the vinyl bead board, and all but one corner looked great, which they came back and fixed, as well as reinstalled a hook that I used to store my bicycle. They forgot the hook when they were finishing up. Also, when they moved my washer back in to place and re-hooked up the hose to it, they didn’t attach it correctly and I got a ton of water on my garage floor. Luckily no water got in to my house. They also bumped my garage door alignment unit so my garage door wouldn’t shut but I was able to realign it myself. Lots of problems but they have made an effort to fix them.

I do not like to pass the buck but garages and porches are non climate controlled environments so we can not/do not warranty any work out there which we say/cover explicitly in our emails about those jobs. Some times they work last forever and sometimes it starts to separate again in a very short time, like your garage. We did offer you 4 options and you chose the option with no warranty. We did come back out twice at no charge to you to repair to spots that separated but more started to appear and that is when we offered ALL new garage ceiling or the vinyl bead board. You went with the vinyl bead board which we Sub contract out, as we do not offer that ourselves. Unfortunately you did have some issues with them which is very disappointing for us as makes us look bad and I am sorry for that. We have reached out to the subcontractor to verify everything was finished to your satisfaction but not sure we are getting the same story from her??? Is everything corrected and completed??"

Best part of the Textures by Blue Sky was the scheduling staff, especially Diane. Diane is an amazing person, friendly to work and even stayed after hours to setup whatever needed to be done for my job. She was diligent in working around my very constrained schedule and kept me up to date with estimates, questions I had, worker arrival time, etc. The painters showed up exactly within the promised 2 hour arrival window and even finished earlier than promised. The place was left clean and the cost was exactly the estimate, no surprises. I am very happy with the work done.

Crew showed up exactly on time, clean, professional and friendly. My crew was Francisco, Enmanual, Kinji, and Aranis. We did a pre-walk through to confirm the work being done went over the price again. They laid down plastic everywhere including the entire driveway. We left with our dogs while they worked. Work was finished a few hours earlier than promised and during the walk-through at the end the place was clean and they had done a perfect job. I would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Excellent job. I put up the drywall in a large room myself and hired Textures by Blue Sky to complete the taping/mud and create a smooth finish on the walls and a ceiling that had previously been scraped of popcorn. They did a beautiful job (and a much better one than I could have done) and created a beautiful finish that is extremely smooth and free of any noticeable knife marks or other imperfections. It's a far superior job to the smooth finish that was done in other parts of my house. The price was reasonable and the office staff and crew were extremely professional. Scheduling was fast and efforts were made to make it most convenient to my schedule. I've dealt with many contractors and you always look for the ones who communicate well and respond quickly to questions/concerns. Textures by Blue Sky did all that and provided high-quality work.

Amazing! Textures by Blue Sky came out at the time we agreed on, with a 3-man crew. They were polite, had great attitudes, and were ready to get to work. We quickly went though the house, they put plastic everywhere that needed, and did the job. Not just did the job - they exceeded at it. It looks amazing! They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely hire again if needed. Don't go anywhere else. We had our ceiling in master bedroom peeling due to a bad prep job by the previous contractor. Textures by blue sky came in and scrapped the old stuff off and properly applied a new textured ceiling. Guys were prompt and vey professional.
