STANLEY STEEMER

I been using Stanley Steemer in Oviedo for about 15 years, and in South Florida since 1980. For the last 7, I always had them clean just 3 rooms. They have a profile on the home, and know this. They quoted me $135 as usual when not running the $99 special. Of course they always try to upcharge with deodorizer, and other things I usually refuse. When they came, the crew leader mumbled something about one room being large, never making eye contact with me. I agree, it is large, but the other room is average, and the third extremely small especially since the king sized water bed is not moved or cleaned under. It has always been like this. The rooms did not get bigger. He said $165, not $135. I said I was told $135, and have never paid more and he should honor the quote. I called the company back and was told there was a "policy changed" with the new ownership. Anyroom over 300sf is extra. I said "what about the room with about 100 sf of carpet? Either you charge by the room or sq. foot, not whichever is greater depending on the room size." I said that should have been told to me while scheduling, and not told $135. The rep. agreed and said she will talk to her supervisor. I said do not bother. I do not do business with companies that bait and switch. The irony is that I always give a $20 tip. I just could have said ok, not tipped, and it would have been only $10 more. It's not the $ we are talking about here, its honesty and reputability. A well run company would have given the rep. the ability to use some common sense and not let a loyal customer go for $30 bucks! I'm paying another company $175 tomorrow, I will never use SS again even if they offered a free cleaning to make up for what they did as I do not deal with unscrupulous, greedy companies that will not honor their quote.

They didn't do a great job. They just didn't get the dirt out. They told me its a cloth sofa, which seemed like be easy to get the dirt out, but it wasn't. They didn't get the dirt out.

They were so much more expensive. We started with a $75 on some sort of special and by the time we got through, it was $400. It was excellent. It's the first time I have had my floors done in 20 years. I will have to give them credit.

They came out to steam clean the interior of my cars; they just didn't do a very good job. They pretty much lied to me and said the pressure inside and outside the house is two different pressures and they just didn't do a good job.

Assured stains would come out. Assured wear would be drastically improved. Was talked into allowing them to "seal grout" for "free". Did not realize I was paying them $99 to clean grout. Didn't end up paying that because I was mislead. Also they didn't really even clean the grout.

They were not from this area I guess. A different Stanley Steemer had to come because the ones in my area don't do the air ducts. Their corporate office was out of Orange/Osceola. They didn't come from Brevard County because once they got here I asked about some additional items and they were kind of like, "Oh well you know." I just think the person didn't really feel like doing extra stuff. Then, when they left, one of my vents - because they took them all apart - was not screwed back on. In my son's room, it had a clickety-clackety noise, I guess because the vent hadn't been put back on correctly or all the way or screwed in correctly or whatever. So I had someone come and take care of that for me.

They do a good job. I would use them again.

I have tried other carpet cleaners and I keep coming back to Stanley. Their price is competitive and they get the job done. One thing I think I like best about Stanley is they always send a 2 person team. I don't need a lot of furniture moved away from the wall and I try to prepare for their visit as much as I can but honestly, it is a 2 person job to do it right and quickly and I appreciate that.

I thought it was overpriced and didn't end up using them

Cleansers arrived on time, were very professional, and personable.  They took the time to explain everything they would be doing and asked if we had any questions or concerns.  When they finished they explained how and how long to let the carpet finish drying and what steps to take to keep it even cleaner in the future.

Cleaned well.  Good results.

They were very nice and answered all my questions.  They did a great job.  They were good; they were better than the other one or I have used the other one; they are both great.  The price is great and the quality is great.  They were fine.  I've used them in the past before but it's been a long time since I've used them.

I had a good experience with them.
