Jeff was a pleasure to work with. I knew I wanted beams installed in our newly constructed house and contacted him months before the house was done. He was great at getting back with me and went out to the model home and reviewed the work I wanted performed. His quote was very reasonable. We communicated for several months before the job was performed. The day after we closed on the house he came out to install our beams. He did an outstanding job, and was very polite. He had some help for part of the day but completed the job by himself which was quite impressive. He had to lift large planks above his head and nail them to the ceiling. It was hard work for a small guy! The beams are the focal point of our new home. The only negative was that we had to change out the fan box in the center beam because we were advised that it wouldn't hold the weight of the fan. But we are extremely happy with the beams and the work Jeff did!

Southern Door and Trim is a one person operation.  Jeff (Lane) communicated well, turned up on time, finished the work on time, cleaned up after himself and did a great job.  All that and he's a pleasure to work with.  I'd recommend him for crown molding and he is also capable of doing other carpentry and paint jobs although he'll tell you those are not his best skills.
