I called to get an estimate on my front porch rebuild 3 times.  First call, I left my information on a voice mail.  Second time, spoke to a person who took my information and told me they would follow up.  Third time I called, they were unaware of my previous 2 calls but apologized and setup an appointment for estimate.  Estimator came out (on time) and reviewed my porch, took measurements and told me he would get back to me with a repair estimate.    4 months later and I haven't heard back from them.

In 2011 my parents used SKO to repair and rebuild their kitchen after a leak and mold destroyed it. So when it came time for me to look for a contractor to build my dream solarium, it was a natural decision to pick SKO Construction to do the work. My mother was thrilled with her kitchen and how the staff took such good care of them while they were rebuilding. I too am extraordinarily pleased with the work. My solarium is beautiful! They were professional, on time, on budget and completed the work to my specifications. I was very demanding because it was my dream to have a solarium for so long, and I knew just how I wanted it. The staff worked hard to please me, even coming during the weekend to finish the work.  It was the attention to detail that impressed me the most. Everything in its place with each seam matching beautifully.   It was not only the quality of work, but also the use of quality products that made all the difference.  I love my solarium.  I spend many hours reading, playing with my son or just sitting and  enjoying the peace of the room. There is something really great about sitting in a room, months or even years after the work is completed, and still appreciating how well it was built. I have every confidence I will get to enjoy my dream solarium for many years to come. Thank you SKO Construction for doing such an incredible job building my sanctuary.

We are thrilled with the quality of the work provided to us. We had a small leak underneath the sink that dripped for more than a year. Because the leak was so minor, the water was absorbed by the cabinets. By the time the leak was significant enough to appear on the floor, all the cabinetry and the drywall was warped  and covered with mold and the cabinetry and floor were destroyed.   My husband and I are in our late 70's. This situation was extremely difficult for us to deal with especially since our insurance company attempted to deny the coverage. SKO was amazing! Not only did they do the work quickly and professionally, but most importantly Claire, the company's owner, became our support system. She was very patient with us and took the time to explain everything she was doing in layman's terms, so that we could understand.  In addition, she provided us with information to present to our insurance company, so that they would understand what we needed, but most importantly, she treated us like family. She was very concerned about our welfare; since our health was so fragile and she  knew that the stress of having to deal with this catastrophe was more than we could handle alone. She went above and beyond for us. We had to live in a hotel for a couple of weeks due to the extensive mold cleanup and reconstruction that had to be done. She literally had to rebuild from scratch. Through it all, Claire was with us every step of the way. She worked so hard for us. Many times she and her staff were in our house into the late hours of the evening.  When it was finally done, we had a beautiful new kitchen with new floors, walls, cabinets and a fancy new ceiling fan!  But most importantly, we also made a new friend.  I know you can find at least a dozen companies that can do the work that SKO construction did for us, but you will never find a company that does it with more heart or kindness that Claire bestowed on us.  We feel very lucky to have met her and highly recommend SKO to everyone!

Repaired and replaced ceilings, skylight framing, and drywall.  Painted.  Cleaned carpet.  They were very careful, removed and replaced furniture and items, and thoroughly covered and protected items that could not be moved.  They were friendly, professional, and cleaned up any mess.  They had an exceptional level of management, taking care of all questions and concerns that I had after the damage in a timely and very responsive manner.
