"Mr. [Member Name Removed], we pride ourselves on top-notch results, excellent customer service, and trustworthiness, so we are shocked at the accusation of having stolen items from your home. The delay in our response to your review was simply due to the seriousness of your accusation and therefore we needed to first consult with our lawyer. But now, it’s important for me, the owner, to set the record straight of what truly occurred for anyone reading this review. When we complete a job, we always have our customer review the work done. This was the case on your job as well. It was your wife that reviewed everything, approved everything, and then paid us. We did not finish cleanup of your office because your wife said we were not allowed to disturb you as you were on an important business call. However, after we left you made two phone calls within 20 minutes to our call center in reference to the cleanup. I then called you back and said we would happily return to take care of it. However, you didn’t seem happy about this and were more upset at the fact we didn’t do the cleanup before we left, even though your wife had told us we couldn’t bother you. Then the next morning, I received two phone calls from you followed by a text message regarding the items you claimed were missing from your wife’s dresser drawer. I spoke to my two employees who performed the work at your home, and both vehemently denied any wrongdoing. Now, of course, you might say, “of course that’s how they replied”, but I’ve worked with both of them for several years and trust them whole-heartedly and know they did not steal from you. In addition, when you made this accusation, you discussed a lawsuit that you were involved in which cost you $17,000 and asked if I could afford that. I found this very peculiar, and I therefore contacted our lawyer. I then also contacted both the Windermere and Orange County Police departments and both police departments denied having received any call from you."
"Mrs. [Member Name Removed], thank you for taking the time to review our services. I must say that I find it very irresponsible to disparage my family’s business especially referring to myself and Sir Grout, which has 50 franchises, as a scam. Our warranty states that we repair any color seal that fails. It never did at your home. You stated that the color faded and became grimy which is simply not true. In response to your first 2 complaints, I agreed to come out and re-seal the high traffic areas you speak of free of charge both times. As you recall, I said to you both times that I really did not see what you were seeing. Your husband contacted me last month and I stated we would return a 3rd and final time (yes, final because we having be touching up something that simply doesn’t need it) free of charge which he agreed to. When the technicians arrived, they didn’t see what you saw (that makes 3 of us now) and simply machine cleaned the floors which is the only thing they needed. Your husband commented that it looked night and day. For the record, I never stated the grout/floors wouldn’t need to be cleaned for 5 years… that just doesn’t make any sense: of course floors need to be cleaned… and you said you clean your floors all the time. Additionally, I’m not certain what you mean by me trying to sell you my latest and greatest product and never asked you to refer us to anyone. You said you would tell your friends because you were so happy with the results. I feel like I have done everything you’ve asked but being called back, again and again, to touch up something that 3 people couldn’t see was fruitless. Lastly, stating that we botched the job and your floors are now ruined is simply incorrect and once again, irresponsible. Thank you again for your feedback and I am certainly sorry and surprised you feel this way."
