Roedell's Landscaping Inc

The owner, Kenny Roedell, responded quickly to my first call. His first visit came within days and his quote arrived by email the day after his visit. Kenny had many good ideas. I accepted the quote and work was to begin 2 weeks later. I was told the job would take 3-4 days. The job started on time. Tree removal and stump grinding was first and was subcontracted by Roedells. This part went very well. Next, the old sod was stripped and a large machine was brought in to re slope the yard. Although the new slope turned out fine, the machine (driven by a Roedell's employee) damaged existing landscape plants, gouged street asphalt, cracked a sidewalk in four places and broke some swimming pool plumbing. To date, only the sidewalk has been repaired. I finally fixed the swimming pool plumbing myself. We were now into the second week and the new sod had been delivered on pallets. The next problem was the retaining wall. It was built crooked (apparent lack of supervision). Kenny agreed that it needed to be rebuilt. The job now had a serious delay since the sod was aging in the heat on the pallets. It is recommended by sod growers that sod be installed within 48 hours of cutting. Some of the new sod was installed before the industry deadline and it looks like it is going to survive. The last of the sod wasn't installed until five days after cutting. Most of the later sod never rooted and is dead or dying. It is important to note here that I followed Kenny's instructions on how to care for newly installed sod to the letter. I watered the sod every day for 30 minutes with an automatic irrigation system. I even hired a professional lawn spraying company that started a week after the sod was installed. It has been 10 weeks since the job finished. Kenny will not answer any of my calls to his cell phone nor respond to any of my messages requesting a meeting with me on site. Calling his office is just about as frustrating. His wife Tasha answers but she has no authority to make decisions so she says she will have Kenny call me. After giving Kenny a deadline to complete the job, which was ignored, I was advised to consider the job abandoned by Kenny and Roedell's Landscaping, and to take the final payment and hire another company to finish the job. No one should have to go through this!

Very well. Kenny and his workman were quick, punctual and courteous. Kenny was involved right up to the end to ensure that everything was done to my satisfaction.

We have had medium experience with them. We used them for 2 years, and then they just stopped doing landscaping, and started doing irrigation, and new things, not maintenance. They were good. I could call the head guys office assistant if I had any problems, and he showed up. The guys who come from week to week just get kind of laxed. They do an okay job, but forget some of the details.

I have used Roedell's for lawn maintenance for several years. They always show up, the crews are friendly and efficient, and the office is quick to resolve any issues that may arise. I have never encountered a landscaping company that has a better customer service ethic than Roedell's.
