I had originally notified the leasing office about these issues on July 17th. I had an email from that date sent to one of the leasing office sales representatives. She did not respond to that email. I let the property manager know on July 24th, and July 25th about the issues via email. Still no response. I then submitted a separate maintenance request on July 29th about this issue. I did not hear back from the maintenance team until August 6th regarding this issue. The issue was STILL not repaired at that point. I visited the leasing office in person August 7th, and was told that maintenance was "in my apartment at the moment, taking the shower drain apart". The issue was still unresolved. I was then told that "since I wasn't home to look at the issue with the maintenance manager, nothing was done". It was at this point that the leasing manager finally began to place urgency on the issue. After I had met with her and quite verbally voiced my concerns. She told me the issues "would be taken care of" and to "give her until Friday". 8/8/2013, I received calls from the leasing office stating the maintenance manager would like to meet with me to address my concerns. As I just started a new job mid-June, I have not built the repertoire as of yet to take time off at a pin drop's notice. These issues should be obvious enough (to any human being with a functioning brain), so I should clearly not have to be there to hand hold and show them what the issue might be. As I had finally had enough, I ventured out to Home Depot to buy the necessary materials to correct this problem myself (something a tenant should NEVER have to do). $10 and 20 minutes later, the issue was corrected. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that the leasing office and maintenance team chose to drag out such a simple issue, and require me to threaten moving out before they began to look at the issue more seriously. To make matters worse, it was never resolved by them - I had to take matters into my own hands.
Description of Work: After contacting the maintenance department, and leasing office multiple times about a plumbing issue, this issue was still not resolved. They tried to downplay it, acting as if the issue would not be of any concern health-wise. After speaking with a wound care nurse with over 20 years of combined experience, she informed me that the issues I was experiencing with my apartment were indeed cause for concern.
