Disastrous. The original job was done in early 2014 and I continue to have problems with the roof and the company today, more than 18 months later. The gentleman who originally did the job was apparently fired from the company for poor workmanship on other jobs. This speaks to how this company operates. They hire "associates" who come and go cutting every corner to make a quick buck. When the associates go the company doesn't want to remedy the poor workmanship. They offer a warranty but apparently only if the roof is leaking water, and only if the customer can cut through their games of red tape.
When the original job was done, a pool water solar heater had to be removed from the roof. The workers cut the pipes to remove the solar heater but did not shut off the pool. Consequently, when the pool pumps turned on, the pool was nearly drained of water before I got home. This should be especially concerning to those reading because the pool water was shooting out of the pipes WHILE the men were working on the roof. They claim not to have seen it.
Before the project began I spray painted the yard to locate and avoid the septic system and sprinklers. I was reassured the trucks would not drive on the concrete so as not to crack it. Plywood was to be laid across the lawn to prevent tire grooves. No plywood was laid and the trucks drove over the sidewalk cracking and breaking up the sidewalk. The company initially denied this fact but after presenting pictures of the sidewalk before and after, they agreed to fix it.. 18 months later. (I also lost 3 sprinklers).
This is all a side note to the roof! The original reason for the new roof was due to bumps and pealing up of shingles. A year after the re-roof the bumps and pealing up of shingles returned which prompted the further investigation. The response of the company after returning to inspect was that "the plywood was laid horizontally and not vertically." They tried dismissing their responsibility claiming it must have been laid this way during original home construction. However, they charged me for replacement plywood and their employee laid it. According to the Orange County Inspector and the private home inspection company I hired, the plywood is laid correctly as long as it ends on a truss and has the proper H-clips (Hurricane clips). The reason I have "bumps" and shingles pealing up is the plywood was laid improperly during the re-roof AND without H-clips. The misinformation about horizontal vs vertical placement was apparently completely made up.
The company continues to ignore my requests to remedy the problem in accordance with the home inspectors suggestion on how to remedy most beneficial for the home. What should be most concerning to those reading this review is that it was the roofing company owner himself who signed off on the job and returned to inspect the poor work. It is the roofing company owner who is grasping at straws to dismiss the poor workmanship by stating the wood is laid in the wrong direction. This company sets a new standard for ignoring their clients after the work. Their customer service is appalling. Emails and phone calls are not returned for days and weeks, if at all. I originally contacted them in June to re-inspect the problem and they continue to delay and ignore the issue to this day.
