Don and Cindy resurfaced my pool and it's beautiful! Or looks like a blue lagoon! Thanks Don and Cindy!

Concrete Pool Installation
Don & Cindy were an absolute joy to work with. They answered any questions I had and took the time to explain anything I needed. I also felt like I was working with someone that truly cared about my project. I recommend them to anyone looking to build a custom pool.

While Don and Cindy the owners are nice people, they are not a well organized business. They (Don) made many promises and appts. that were not kept, always an excuse. Now 72 days after the pool was finished, and after numerous calls and text mssgs, sometimes 2 per week to see when they would come back to finish, thet still have not completed the punch list to finish. I had to chase them weekly, and then they would send someone over and do a small part of what was pending in the punch list. Not the right tools, or the parts needed. If they had sent 1 or 2 people over for maybe 3 hrs, it would have all been done when it should have been within a reasonable time after filling the pool, not drag it out for over 2 months. Instead we had to constantly call to get action. Still today the color of the finish is not right, it has lines and differences in tones, yet they say it will go away with time... We shall see. I think they know a mistake was made and will not admit it, and they waiting to see it we will drop the issue. We have debris from the construction still laying around, the deck is stained from the pool finish and adhesive that was applied; the light will not fit and they tell me that is the way it is going to be. They are not willing to even try to fit it correctly, even though he told me he would look at it - he has not. They broke a pipe during the and the pool leaked for almost a month - lots of wasted water and they were in no rush to fix the issue. They eventually got to it after I insisted that the problem was where I had been telling them all along, and after several thousands of gallon of water wasted. Our biggest mistake was paying them up front every time they asked for money. What they did to meet the contract payment schedule was to do the absulute minimum to get paid - then make us wait. I do not understand how they run a business like this, and all we did was ask to get things done as the contract stated. Although we do not consider the job completed, we are finished with them. I just hope the work lasts. Their crews are very nice people, but that is only a small part of the job.
Response from Playwell Pools, Inc.
"My name is Don Glenn I own Playwell Pools. I also own up to any issues or problems that arise in our business. I hear complaints every day. It is taking to long. It is messy, when are you going to be done, or I want a different color. That is normal. It takes a lot out of people to pay someone to tear up their once beautiful back yard and not have it finished in a week. I am proud of what we build. We build and remodel 100 s of beautiful pools. Regarding his finish, we encourage everyone to hire a pool care specialist and not try to do it on your own for the first 30 days. After that most people can take it over. So the streaking he is complaining about is because he is not taking care of the finish correctly. We only build, we do not do service contracts. We give everyone the manufactory s care and maintenance letter, but that does not mean they should not engage a professional to protect their investment. Regarding a leak that he claims ran forever. We checked out what we thought was a leak in the skimmer. We placed epoxy on it and the customer was happy until a leak slowly reappeared. The leak was eventually found under a large section of his concrete deck that we had removed and re-poured because it was sinking. The pool is over 30 years old. The leak could have been caused by the concrete sinking, or during the removal process. When the location was identified we fixed the leak immediately. The return eyeballs were extremely difficult to screw into the corroded PVC, the plumbing is over 30 years old. They do not make special tools for that. It is called experience and patience. The customer actually broke 2 eyeballs himself trying to get them in flush. We fixed it. The punch list kept growing well after the initial list was all taken care of. The light was added later. Pool lights are held in by 1 screw and a small brass phalange. After 30 years they never set perfectly flush. At no time was his pool not usable after we plastered it. The only thing he was honest about was that we are good honest people. We are always in contact with our customers. We address all problems as soon as we can. Our crews are like he said, good and respectful people. It is always somebody who does not want to make their final payment. And the more sensational they make the better they feel about it. He did not even pay for the tile upgrade. I am sure in his mind he thinks he is right. And everyone has a right to address a situation. I only ask that it be addressed honestly from both viewpoints."

From start to finish we felt as if they were family. Very personal face to face communications as to schedule, recommendations and what to do and expect after they finish.
