"My name is Don Glenn I own Playwell Pools. I also own up to any issues or problems that arise in our business. I hear complaints every day. It is taking to long. It is messy, when are you going to be done, or I want a different color. That is normal. It takes a lot out of people to pay someone to tear up their once beautiful back yard and not have it finished in a week. I am proud of what we build. We build and remodel 100 s of beautiful pools. Regarding his finish, we encourage everyone to hire a pool care specialist and not try to do it on your own for the first 30 days. After that most people can take it over. So the streaking he is complaining about is because he is not taking care of the finish correctly. We only build, we do not do service contracts. We give everyone the manufactory s care and maintenance letter, but that does not mean they should not engage a professional to protect their investment. Regarding a leak that he claims ran forever. We checked out what we thought was a leak in the skimmer. We placed epoxy on it and the customer was happy until a leak slowly reappeared. The leak was eventually found under a large section of his concrete deck that we had removed and re-poured because it was sinking. The pool is over 30 years old. The leak could have been caused by the concrete sinking, or during the removal process. When the location was identified we fixed the leak immediately. The return eyeballs were extremely difficult to screw into the corroded PVC, the plumbing is over 30 years old. They do not make special tools for that. It is called experience and patience. The customer actually broke 2 eyeballs himself trying to get them in flush. We fixed it. The punch list kept growing well after the initial list was all taken care of. The light was added later. Pool lights are held in by 1 screw and a small brass phalange. After 30 years they never set perfectly flush. At no time was his pool not usable after we plastered it. The only thing he was honest about was that we are good honest people. We are always in contact with our customers. We address all problems as soon as we can. Our crews are like he said, good and respectful people. It is always somebody who does not want to make their final payment. And the more sensational they make the better they feel about it. He did not even pay for the tile upgrade. I am sure in his mind he thinks he is right. And everyone has a right to address a situation. I only ask that it be addressed honestly from both viewpoints."
