Paint Squad

The wall paper was on really solid. I suggested we just paint over it. But he said, no, Better we remove it.
The main guy did not actually do the work, Over a week later, he sent two others to remove the wall paper. They did a bad job and tore some of the paper off the sheet rock on lots of places. Did not even remove the towel bar or TP holder. 
The main guy came back and said for $350 more he would fix the damage and paint the walls. I would have to supply the paint.
I told him I was not interested. I suggest that you stay away from this guy.

They took a bunch of money from us and never did the work for us. He is con artist. He was operating under a guy that has like 6 lawsuits, and hasn't been in business, so he took somebody's license number. When they did show us, it was horrible work. They were always drunk, it was horrible. I told him it was going to catch up to him eventually. He knew me personally, and he knew my business, and after the last conversation with him, I didn't want him doing anything. The price wasn't bad, but he never did any work. He was bad.

He was on time!! very professional & friendly but most of all of all HONEST.

Contacted the provider numerous times and left my phone number, but calls were not returned.  Did connect with the provider one time, and he explained he was eating lunch, and to call back at 1 PM.  I called back at 1 and 1;15 PM, but was routed to voice mail both times, with no return call from the provider.  Based on this discouraging record, I decided to consider the $99 already paid as lost money.

I would never hire this painting company again.  Antonio is the consummate salesman, but doesn't listen and doesn't respond appropriately.  He blew off all of our concerns when raised, simply saying "don't worry about it, don't worry about it, the work will be great.".  His crew included one experienced painter, and one painter who had just joined his team that day who did not have the appropriate skills.  Antonio did not supervise the project as promised.  He did not use the trim color we had specified (when his team asked what color they were to paint the trim he just said "paint it white.")  When I called to express my concern and ask that he or his team return that evening to repaint the trim color before carpet installers arrived early the next morning, he did not return my phone calls and directed his team not to return to the house to fix their mistake, despite their promise to me to do so.  I wound up repainting all of the trim myself.  He never returned my phone call and only turned up at our house to demand final payment.  The job was not complete at the time (light fixtures and electrical outlets had not been replaced, there were still paint issues, etc.) and I also believe that I should have received a credit for the work I was required to do to fix their mistakes.  Although I had told him previously that I was leaving town that day, he called and demanded that I pay him immediately.  When I explained I was at the airport and couldn't arrange payment until the next day, he screamed at me and at my sibling who was still at the house and threatened to place a lien on the property and then hung up on me.  In all my years of home owning, I have never ever had such a bad experience with a contractor, and would urge anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.

First off this vendor does a really good job of putting forth the appearance of friendliness and professionalism. Not the case. I was originally promised that the job would take a week at best and it ended up taking a little over 5 weeks and I had to fire him in the end because he doesn't listen, has an excuse for everything, blames everyone else including me for his poor time management and shoddy workmanship but worst of all he had a completely unprofessional verbal confrontation with me and my mother. He used excessive vulgarity in my home and appeared to want to have a physical altercation. I asked him to remove himself and all his equipment and staff as soon as possible and paid him the balance of what I felt he was owed and I was extremely generous due to the fact that he destroyed all of the custom molding in all of the rooms he did work in and all if the line work he did was terrible.

He gridded it and it looks amazing. It was extensive damage and it took 3 hours of dry wall. I can’t even say there was a hole in wall the bathroom. They cleaned up well and it was good. They were on time. They came in and they saw the problem. We came previously to view it so he knew what he needed to do to fix it. He came and brought with him the materials necessary. He fixed it up and it went for more than one day to do process but when it was done, it was done. They worked until the dry wall dried before they could paint. They were great and every time they said they would come back t o start the next process, they were back. They were very professional, kept me updated on the project the whole time. I will use them again for my kitchen.

They were professional and courteous. Tony called me a few days later and while I told him I was happy with the work I thought it would have smooth and ready to paint. He personally came to my home and took care of the issues. I definitely will be calling them again when I am ready to pain the interior of my home.

Doug showed up and did the job very well, I will use again in the future

It didn't go so well and they charged me a little bit more. He did the estimate over the phone, did describe what he's going to be needing, came to our house a couple of weeks later, another guy came out because he couldn't, so he described a whole bunch of things that he'd do, we agreed on the price of $150 and another guy came out and he didn't do the original plans. They were nice and friendly. He couldn't keep the date we wanted to start.

I believe the whole day work was actually kind of strange. He brought another guy and that was supposed to be for the whole day and they didn't quite work the whole day. When the job was finished, they still charged us extra money. That was kind of strange, the way that whole thing worked out. They did a good job painting.

I needed to have a portion of drywall installed in my son's room, because it had been removed for a maintenance problem.  I also needed to have some holes patched up in my porch columns, because woodpeckers had drilled about 6 3-inch holes in them.  The work was done quickly and the installer left the workspace very clean.

2 man prep crew the first day. Full crew the second day. Completed their drywall joint repair 2nd day.paid finisher in cash. Began applying prime coat on Fri AM. Noticed drywall seams were bulging with some actually coming apart again. Unable to get them to return a phone call Friday through Monday. Finally used my wife's cell phone and was connected immediately. The owner said the prime coat caused any new separations of drywall joints. After threatening him with legal action he finally agreed to come look at the ceiling a week from today. Said his finisher could not come due to other projects.
I am a Certified General Contractor with 28 years experience. The quality of "The Paint Squad" ranks as low as I have ever seen.

They did a good job on the drywall repair but they were a bit expensive

Antonio did state when he saw the job that it would take longer than the 3 hour special I had purchased, so he wanted to charge an additional $75, I agreed and the job took 5 hours so that seemed fair. The man who actually did the work was pleasant and thorough. My only complaint was that the retaped seam is a little more visible than I would have liked, but since they had to use heavier taping I suppose that couldn't be helped. He did an excellent job on the small ceiling area, popcorn blended in perfectly, can't tell it was ever touched. I would use them again. 

The job turned out fine, but I got the impression that they were mostly interested in upselling us for other work.  I was satisfied with the quality of the work -- it looks very nice.
