When I described the problem to Pedro he knew exactly what the problem was.  He called Honda parts to make sure they had the part in stock. After he looked into the problem, he called me to let me know what was wrong, which turned out to be exactly what he had anticipated, and the cost of repair..  I gave him the okay to order the part and perform the repairs.  I also asked him to perform and oil change and rotate the tires because it was time to perform them.  I like that Pedro always uses genuine Honda parts.  He is very knowlegible, experienced and most important, honest.  He has never over charged me.  Although the bill for this repair was $1400.00 about 2/3 of the bill was for parts.  I have always found his price very reasonable.  I have a 2000 Odyssey with over 230,000 miles on it.  I have been a client of Pedro's since 2006, when I moved to Orlando.  It is very important to me to have a mechanic who is knowlegible and honest, and Pedro fits the bill perfectly.  He takes care of my Honda like it were his own minivan.  Pedro was also able to tell me how to prevent the same problem in the future.  Due to the age of the minivan, it was inevitable that the A/C compressor would fail.  Pedro adviced me to turn off the A/C every time I turn off the engine, so as to minimize wear on the compressor and battery.
