Relatively neutral experience buying the phone & plan, but lousy experience with communication before/after, as well as DISMAL unresponsiveness to an actual phone defect. #1: This dealer never answers their own phone! #2: I bought this phone for my wife. After buying a service plan that allows access to an e-mail account, I followed the owner's manual and set it up accordingly (to view GMail). The phone worked, but was inconsistent in this regard (e-mail) almost from the beginning - - - but since my wife was traveling and primarily just needed basic cell service, it wasn't anything to die over. #3 In the first week, the phone "locked up" several times; wouldn't function, but also wouldn't turn off. My wife went into a different Metro PCS dealer (in Hawaii); the dealer said "Oh, it's frozen, just take out the battery & put it back in. If it gets really bad, come back." She asked if the phone was defective, but couldn't get a straight answer, and definitely couldn't get an offer of a replacement. #4 After dealing with the "locking up" issue several more times, today (April 15) the phone started to freeze up repeatedly! Wife walked it into the original dealer (One Stop Wireless) and was told, A) "This phone isn't equipped for e-mail, you shouldn't use it that way." Huh? The owner of the store (not available today) sold it as an e-mail capable phone, and the operating manual confirms it. B) "The 'locking up' problem is your fault, because of #1. Sorry, no repair/replacement available." I don't get it!
