Be aware of this company there are not a detect leak company or properly equipped to detect a leak. Mr. Michael refuses to provide a report about the service obvious to protect the company for a lawsuit. Shady company guessing to what the problem could be, but they do not provide that on writing only verbally. Still got charge for the leak services and our problem continue. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We have a new home but did not like the kitchen faucet. We provided the faucet. It was an easy change, took less than 45 minutes and the cost was a flat fee of $270. I spoke to the owner about the cost and he confirmed that was the correct charge. I would not use them again due to the extremely high cost of such a simple job.

The plumber, Thomas, who arrive to my home, while was polite, didn't really know what to do. He couldn't detect the leak not only in the water line, but he didn't even know how to check which line, the main water or irrigation line was leaking. At the end, he cut the irrigation line, only then realizing the leak was in the main water line, and told me I'd have to pay $400 if I want him to re-connect the irrigation line back. Also, he said he'd install a new water line for $2400 (55 ft total length). I refused to both, as I felt it was a rip-off, and after paying $225 (for doing what exactly?), I hired another plumbing company who did the job in almost half of the asked price. That's not the plumbing service, it's a rip-off!

They called to see if they can come earlier than the appointment and when arrived was very professional. They identified the problem and was able to unclog the drains. Would highly recommend and will use for future needs.

The parts were marked up a great deal and the price was incredibly high as original quote was around $860 and they ended up giving me a $25 discount, which didn't make the price any better. The work took roughly 2 hours and the bill provided didn't include a break down of what I was paying for initially and after requesting he put the labor down at $492.80 and the parts were $368.01, which was crazy to me as the parts could be purchased for much less at Home Depot. I was desperate to have the work done as we needed to have the work done quickly, but the price charged was way higher than I think it should have been.

They had to dig out the cement foundation in order to get to the leak, so what they had to do was start in outside and through the plumbing all the way to the attic.

My water heater was leaking. They had originally quoted $744. I told them they needed to bring plastic because there was carpet in the condo. I ended up providing a black garbage bag. He moved the washer and charged me an additional $128 to do that and to put it back.

"customer called on sat morn and was quoted the price for a standard installation of water heater,we were not told to the best of my understanding by customer that a washer and a dryer would have to be moved out of the way to make the installation happen,this would take this installation to a non standard installation,cust approved the total cost of all work to be done prior to starting job which is our standard procedure,customer could at any time have said no prior to installation,incidentally,this same technician performed work at customers house installing a lavatory and a faucet and seemed quite happy in october of 2006.the work on istallation of water heater was done on April 28th 2012 and not in May as customer suggests.I apologize if the customer feels that were overcharged but they knew the entire cost before technician stared to work.The technician in question has been in the employee of Michaels Plumbing for over 8 years with many good referrals,and has always been professional and courteous"

We had called Michael's because they were real plumber as opposed to just a back flow tester and scheduled them to come out to the house. They were going to complete the back flow and provide quotes for other work. The plumber arrived on time and met the woman of the house, at which point he began to make up crazy numbers for all kinds of work. It was really outrageous stuff, which he attributed to "overhead" costs. We had him just do the minimum service call, paid the fee and got him out of the house as quickly as possible.
We waited a few days to post this review just to confirm that he really was WAY out there in terms of scope and costs and they most definitely are. I would strongly urge fellow members to avoid this company.

"we are a flat rate company in that customer is quoted a price for work to be done,we never do work without customer prior approval,customer elected not to have any work performed and was charged a 35.00 svc fee which was discussed prior to technician being dispatched.Flat rate pricing is used to avoid any hidden costs for the customer,the price we quote is the price we charge even though we may go over time we have designated for that particular task.We do not work by the hour as customer is never sure of price until job is complete."

I used Michael's in the past to repair a faucet. I had great results then and had no trepidation about hiring them again to search for a leak. The technician, this time around, was incompetent and insulting. And even worse, when I had to call again for service of the same problem, the receptionist was also insulting, uncooperative and rude. Nevertheless, I scheduled a follow-up appointment and requested a different technician. I was refused this request. I subsequently called back to cancel the appointment and was met, once again, with the same very rude receptionist. I would suggest that her boss re-train her in customer service.

We called them out and because the house was built in the 1980's we didn't have a part they needed in the yard that they could access, so he did it on the roof. He did clear it and got it unclogged. About 45 days later it was clogged again. They came out and did the same thing and the next day it was clogged again. They told me they would have to charge extra for the service if I called again. I had to call a different company to come out and finally fix it. So I called Michael's Plumbing to complain but they never resolved the issue.

I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. The bill they sent to me was a lot more than what the plumber said they were going to charge to come and look at the problem. Then after he left they called and said that the hole thing needed replaced and he had to order it and it was going to be 500 dollars. Then when my son came over he looked at it too and went to home depot and bought a new washer for 2 dollars and repaired it. It has been perfect ever since and I know that Michaels was trying to rip me off.

We called a week in advance for a weekend appointment, and we were scheduled for Saturday between 9-11 am. By 1 pm no one had called or showed up. I called and was told they had no record of the appointment. Then someone called back to say he was on the way and that there would be a diagnostic fee of $75 (never previously mentioned when appointment made nor was extra the weekend fee). When he arrived, he walked in to the bathroom, turned around, pointed to a book, and said repairs would cost $400. We declined and he insisted on charging $75 for literally walking in and out of the bathroom. We then had him fix the shutoff valve, which he charged $125 (he reluctantly waived the $75 fee) and then told us our tank had cracks in it (there weren't cracks before this gentleman arrived). This was my second experience with this company and the first experience was similarly poor, and we had to have someone come back to fix the job the first person had performed. Very disappointing.

Michael's Plumbing is always there to help our business out of a jam. It doesn't matter what type of plumbing problem we have, they are always able to send out a tech that can do the job. We recently had them install a water heater to our business. They were able to get the heater and install it before we had to open our business for the day. They are on call 24 hours a day and we have had to call them during the night and they have responded. I would recommend this company for your home or business plumbing needs.

A co-worker at work recommended Michael Plumbing, and they were at the house within 2 hours of calling them for service. The plumber was very courteous, and the job was completed quickly and professionally.

THE PLUMBER FROM MICHAEL'S PLUMBING ARRIVED PROMPTLY AT THE SCHEDULED TIME. HE HAD LOCATED A FEW SMALL LEAKS AND HAD THEM REPAIRED QUICKLY. THE SERVICE CALL CHARGE WAS APPLIED TOWARDS THE TOTAL BILL. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE.

THE WORK AND WORKMANSHIP FOR THIS JOB WAS DONE IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO DISCOVER THAT MY DISPOSAL WAS REPLACED WITH ONE THAT WAS OF A LESSER CALIBER. IT WORKS, BUT I WOULD HAVE LIKED IT REPLACED WITH THE SAME QUALITY.

THE JOB WAS FINE. THE PERSON THEY SENT OUT ASKED US ABOUT DOING WORK ON THE SIDE INSTEAD OF PAYING THE COMPANY. THIS STRUCK US AS ODD. HE SAID HE WOULD CHARGE US FULL PRICE FOR A SATURDAY VISIT, BUT COME BACK TO DO MORE IF WE WOULD USE HIM. WATCH OUT ON THIS ONE. THE WORK WAS FINE THOUGH.

FIRST OFF HE DIDN'T COME THE DAY HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO COME. BUT THE NEXT DAY HE CALLED AND APOLOGIZED AND CAME THAT DAY HE DID A GOOD JOB AT INSTALLING THE WATER HEATER AND DIDN'T MAKE OR LEAVE A MESS WHEN HE WAS DONE.
