Considering the positive reviews I was excited about having Maximo install Solar Panels. The price was somewhat prohibitive, but I assumed I would break even over time. A few days before the installation was due to take place I received a call from Maximo asking if they could delay the installation. I agreed to reschedule. Again before the installation date, I was called and again a request was made to reschedule the installation. I reluctantly agreed. Once again, prior to the scheduled installation date I received a call from Maximo, asking to reschedule for first thing Saturday morning, June 10th, 2017. I was up early waiting for the crew to arrive, I was sure they would be there after putting me off three times. It was a clear morning, with no rain predicted until late afternoon. I waited from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM with no sign of the installation crew and no contact from them. At this point I posted a negative review on their website, and shortly after that I received a call form Maximo, they were on their way and would be there shortly. At last I thought, they will get the install started. They arrived about an hour later, two people, no crew. They told me that they had been tied up on a large job, and said they would bring a crew and start my job on Monday morning, mind you this would be the fourth time I was to be put off, but this time with NO NOTICE in advance. I explained to them that I had been scheduled for that day, Saturday, and found it unacceptable that they did not show up. I was told that they were behind due to weather and the large job they had done on Saturday morning, when they should have been doing mine. I guess my $40K + installation wasn't big enough for them to waste their time on. At this point it was late afternoon and it had begun to rain, so I was informed that they wouldn't be able to do the job that day in any case, due to weather. I told them it had been sunny all day up until then. Once again I was told how they were behind schedule and had been tied up all day on a large job, but that they would be here early Monday morning to "Knock Out the job". I told them that this was the fourth time, that I had been put off by Maximo, and as such, I was no longer interested in doing business with them and closed the door. Most of the reviews for Maximo are positive. I cannot speak to the validity of those reviews one way or the other. I can only express my experience with Maximo Solar, which has been poor at best. I have no confidence in this company, as it's over all lack of organization and reliability have left a bad taste in my mouth. $40,000.00 is a lot of money to me, it does not leave me feeling warm and fuzzy when a foreman tells me they are going to " Knock Out" a $40,000.00 job. The very wording makes me picture, cheap, shoddy workmanship. As I have said I cannot account for other reviews, but as for myself, I do not plan to do business with Maximo Solar, nor would I recommend their services to anyone. The constant delays, coupled with the failure to show for the job when scheduled is clearly a breach of the contract. While I will likely add Solar Electrical Panels to my home in the future, it will not be via Maximo Solar.
