Great. It's the cleanest I've ever seen it look. Took some time to get them out to do the work, but I was very satisfied with the result!

I don't really know where to start with this review.  I would never use them again and I would never refer anyone to them again.  When I first contracted service with this company they seemed professional.  I contracted a biannual gutter service on a rental property.  The first time they visited the property I didn't review their work (I was out of town and my tenant didn't mention any problems otherwise). My fault - I should have gone to check out the first service.  When the second service was projected to be scheduled by contract...I did not receive any contact from the company. Upon contacting them to set up service it took a week for them to tell me a day the service would be performed..and that was still almost another week out.  They did come but performed a very shotty job of cleaning the gutters to say the least.  So bad my tenant called and said they never came, limbs were hanging down from the gutters.  I took pictures and both emailed and called the company with the pictures.  The owner then proceeded to tell me that he needed more pictures and argued with me over what a gutter system is.  He wanted me to visit the property and take more pictures but wasn't willing to visit the property himself to take a look.  I wish I could upload the pictures here so you could see the work yourself.  Because I was pregnant at the time with two little ones living on the other side of town, I had to call favors to get someone else to go over and take further pictures.
Definition of gutter system disagreement aside, the pictures that he did receive, that he agreed were gutters, had debris in them after the said service and he agreed that they did. After a long heated discussion, he agreed to get with his service man and get back with me about a time they could fix the problem. Two days went by and I heard nothing. I called, left messages, and got no response. I emailed and got a response that they were busy but that they would schedule a time for me.  They never called or emailed again after that until they wanted to receive payment.  I made 15 plus calls and messages, 10 plus emails, and got no response.
Meanwhile the service needed to be completed because my tenant was suffering a roof leak caused by the leaves backing up. My tenant was rightfully complaining, suffering damages of her own in addition to the damages on the property hardwood floors and ceiling. I felt like my hands were tied because I didn't want to pay for another provider if Mandrells was going to follow through. I unbelievably gave them a month to address the issue to no avail.  I had to secure another professional to clear the gutters.
Low and behold, I then received a bill from Mandrell's.  I called and emailed leaving several messages and never heard back.  I then received a second bill stating "Although I do not foresee such, if payment is not received within 30 days we will move forward with a lien process beginning on day 45 and as you agreed, on the attached signed proposal, to pay any additional collection, attorney or court charges in the collecting of payment."  I then had to contract my own legal assistance in preparing a letter with the time and date stamped photos I took.  This letter was emailed, sent via certified mail/signature required mail, and still never received a response.
This company is the reason why I joined Angie's list... because of their poor service I knew I had to review my service providers much closer before ever hiring anyone else. Of course I wasn't surprised when I joined Angie's list to see that they had so many poor reviews.

I liked dealing with the owner directly. He had good attention to detail. When I called the company, I got to speak to the owner. They were very polite and courteous. I thought he did a great job.

Great overall experience. Initial communications were by phone and email and although very informative, a little impersonal for my husband who is used to contractors providing estimates in person (I had less issue with this as Shane described he looked at the house on Google Earth to complete estimate). Actual service provider was Tory (sp?) , who came a little later than I was told he would, but was here almost all day and did a thorough, great job--(the treatment took 10-15 years off the appearance of the house). Payment was requested after Shane was sure we were happy with the job. We would definitely do business with again.
