"Thank you mr. [Member Name Removed] for trust in us to help clean your propery"
"Thanks for let us clean your house. Did you know that was still people working in the house when we finish cleaning?"
I met her husband on site to look at the house and confirm the phone quote was fair for the work to be completed. He said the house should be pretty easy for them to take care of, then he offered me an additional add-on sale of pressure washing the driveway. I declined that service, but he then said that he would go ahead and include that pressure wash as part of our service as a courtesy to earn our business. We agreed to terms and scheduled the service.
On the day of service, Marcia's husband, who said he was the crew foreman, arrived with 2 helpers who I could not communicate with as they didn't speak English. They were on time and ready to work. I reviewed the work with him that we wanted completed to confirm that all was the same as what we had discussed previously. I told him that I wanted a deep cleaning of the house, including all appliances inside and out, all ceiling fans, a/c vent covers, etc. I told him that we were going to be repainting, so it was very important that the base boards be wiped down well and that the tops of door frames, window sills, etc. all be cleaned so that the paint could stick. I told him to make sure all blinds were fully cleaned, both front and back sides. The windows were to be done as I had agreed to pay extra for, and he showed me his pressure washer and reminded me that he would do the driveway. I told him during the inspection, and again the day of service, that I am a very detailed person and that he needed to make sure everything was done properly.
Several hours later, he texted me and said all was complete. I had an employee of mine onsite doing yard work, so I sent him in to take a look. He said that 1) none of the door frame tops had been cleaned, 2) many of the base boards had not been cleaned, 3) the oven had not been cleaned, and 4) that there was generally a lot of stuff that had not been completed. I called Marcia's husband and told him to get that stuff done and I'd be back shortly to take a look.
I arrived about 30 min later and did a walk thru. What a mess.
1) The blinds were pulled fully up, I assume in hopes that I wouldn't see that they had not been cleaned. I started extending them down and saw that many of them had not been cleaned at all, and the ones that had were done poorly and still covered in dust. I showed him and asked him to do all of them again.
2) I opened some windows and saw that the window tracks and frames had not been done on any of the windows, they were all still filthy, even though I paid an extra fee to have these done. I pointed them out and told him to clean them.
3) They had wiped down the outside of the kitchen cabinets, but when I opened them, the backside of the doors and the frames and the shelves had not been cleaned at all. Gross. I told him these needed to be cleaned.
4) The pantry shelves had sticky food residue that was clearly visible and had not been cleaned. I pointed this out and asked him to clean it.
5) The laundry room had been completely overlooked and I explained to him that this needed to be cleaned also.
6) There were a series of other odds and ends, like additional sections of base board that were still not cleaned, etc. that I also pointed out and asked to be done.
About 20 min later he told me they were done and asked to get paid. I expected that they would take a credit card, but they said they were not set up for credit cards, so I told them I could mail him a business check if he could email me the invoice. He was very unhappy that I did not have his payment at that moment, which I probably should have brought a check, but I just assumed that they could process a credit card for payment.
I got the invoice in my email the following day and mailed them full payment right away, even though he did text me a couple times asking where his payment was. He later apologized and said it was in his mailbox the whole time.
I went to the house yesterday to handle some last items before we move in a new tenant, and man, I was pretty upset.
1) I had to pull out the stove, and I discovered the sides were completely covered in grease and food bits - just disgusting. They never pulled out the stove to fully clean it.
2) I pulled out the fridge - same thing. Above the counter top edge, the side of the fridge was clean, but below counter edge it was gross. They never pulled it out to clean it.
3) The microwave that is mounted about the stove was disgusting on the bottom, caked with grease and food from people cooking on the stove. It was never cleaned.
4) There were several areas, including the bedroom floor tile, a bathroom counter top, and the side of the tub, where stuff like fingernail polish or other solidified products remained. I spent 5 minutes and scraped them off using my fingernail or a razor blade...I guess they only cared to clean what their cloth could wipe off and nothing more.
5) The windows, which I paid extra to have done, were not cleaned inside and out. It was obvious that the screens had not been removed and the glass was still dirty.
6) The pressure washed driveway, which he promised to complete as part of the service, was not performed either.
I was upset enough at the time to text some photos to Marcia's husband and let him know I was incredibly disappointed. He apologized and told me that everyone makes mistakes. I told him that if he had missed one or two things, that would be a mistake, but having to check his work 3 times and still finding major things overlooked....that wasn't a mistake, it was laziness and negligence. He replied and said that indeed his workers had been lazy and that he'd like to come back and fix it. I told him no, that I no longer trust their service to perform the tasks they say they will complete.
I had high hopes for this company, but in the end I was left extremely disappointed. Lots of promises; failure to deliver. I should not have to be a babysitter for someone who claims to be a professional. A professional should not be intentionally taking short cuts and cutting corners to save themselves time and money in hopes that I won't notice. A professional does the job right the first time because that's what they are paid to do and they have integrity in the way they do business.
I would not use this service again, and if you choose to, be sure you are prepared to go behind them and check everything they do to make sure you get what you pay for.
Marcia and her team did an excellent job on the move-out cleaning of our townhome. She was on time and upon her arrival we discussed the two different types of move-out cleaning services that she offers. Since we were renters and wanted to ensure that we received our deposit back we chose the thorough cleaning. Marcia reviewed the list of move-out instructions provided to us by our property manager and immediately got to work. Upon completion, everything in the house was spotless from floor to ceiling including the refrigerator and stove. We were extremely pleased and thought that the price was fair for the work performed. Marcia was professional, punctual and communicated well. I would recommend her company and am hoping to work with her again at my new house.
"Thank you!!! We were happy to help you on your move out cleaning!!"
Everything looks beautiful when I walk inside, like a brand new house. It puts a smile on my face to see it.
Price includes cleaning of a bank of sliding glass doors, inside and out, and an outdoor kitchen.
We've been happy with the whole team, and everyone should use them except on my day and time ;)
"Thank you!! We are glad to help your family!!!!"

"Thanks for take time to review our work!!!"

- Marcia was referred to me by a highly-rated housecleaning service that was unable to accommodate my short notice. Because that company had rave reviews, I trusted their recommendation and was SO glad I did!
- -- Marcia was prompt to respond to my call and didn't make me feel badly about the unavoidably short notice.
- -- She arrived exactly on time and provided all of their own supplies and equipment.
-- She welcomed my list of requests without making me feel badly for having one.
-- Marcia actually cleaning the shower on her hands and knees.
-- Her team was able to remove mildew elsewhere that I was convinced would never come off.
-- They were so thorough, they took the initiative to move both the refrigerator AND stove out from the wall to clean the floor underneath.
-- Ceramic tile stains that I thought would never come up were completely gone when they finished cleaning!
-- Everything was not only done well, but with a smile and terrific attitude.
Marcia was an absolute pleasure to work with, so you will be doing yourself a favor to hire her!
"Thanks!!!!!!"
