The Main office called me and told me the locksmith was on his way. When he got there, I showed him the door that wouldnt lock and he looked at it for a few minutes. He said it would need a new dead bolt mechanism, as the one on there was broken and that was why it wouldnt lock. He asked if I wanted the key to match the key to the front door and I told him I would, so he said there would be a cost for that and there was a $15 service call as well. Then he asked if they quoted me a price when I called and I told him they did not. So he said he would have to call the office for a price. He called and spoke in a language that sounded like Russian, so I didnt understand anything he said. He got off the phone and told me it would be $495! I told him that was absolutely ridiculous, a brand new lock is about $30. He said that was what the office told him, so I told him forget it, I would call another locksmith and give him his $15 service call fee. At that point he said he could call the office and see if he could get me a better deal. So he tried calling but couldnt get thru. So he said "Ok, I will give you a break and do it for $200". I said that was still high, but that was to replace the deadbolt and give me a new key that matched the front door and he said "yes". So I agreed because it was getting late and I needed to be able to lock the office up for the night. About 15 minutes later he stopped by my office and said he was done, I gave him the credit card and he left. When I went back to look at the lock, he had not even replaced the deadbolt. All he did was move the door plate over! Boy was I mad. But I agreed to the $200 so there was nothing I could do at this point. I would never use this service again, they are a rip off.
