This company sends you a quote for one price, then sends someone out to actually scope out the property to get a more accurate price.I ask why send any original quote at all, but I digress. I was quoted at $35 originally; then it became $57; then after he came out, it became $254 with a large holly bush that I had asked to be trimmed and $126 without. I understand that the holly bush was going to cost more, and I had already expressed that understanding to them. But to go from $35 to $126 is quite a jump. This service was to trim 5 bushes in the plant bed, edge around the beds, and hand pull all the weeds from the beds. I was sure to clarify that all weeds would be hand pulled as I have had some people come through and try to just take a weedwacker to them. The "pro" seemed personable and we talked for a bit when he inspected and took photos to send back to the company; I did make sure to explain exactly what I wanted done to the bushes and again clarified that he would hand pull all weeds. The company setup the service for three days after the inspection. When I came home on Saturday, the "pro" was just finishing up. I noticed that there was still weeds in the beds and assumed he would pull those before he left along with cleaning up the debris from the trimming that was also supposed to be picked up and hauled away. He came to the door while I was putting my child down for his nap and when I went out to talk to him, his business card was on my doorstep and he was gone. Upon inspecting the work, he left quite a lot of debris around the beds from trimming the bushes and edging the border. He sprayed *** killer into the flower beds that has now caused 5 of my plants that were flourishing to suddenly die; I also have three that may not make it for a cost of close to $50 dollars worth of plants not including the labor it took for my wife and I to plant them. He stepped all over a few of my plants in both the front and back while getting to the bushes and the worst of all is that he missed a very significant amount of weeds throughout all the plant bends, front and back. I reached out that same night to Lawn Love and I have been given the run around since. A lot of people "looking into that" for me and "following up with the pro." I send a large amount of pictures to document the issues to the company and I ended up with a automated email saying "sorry things did not go so well last time. Please use the button below to give directions to your pro to be sure everything goes well the next time." I just want what I paid for, for someone to finish pulling the weeds before they take over the yard. My wife is almost due to have our next child, we're both working, and I am in school. This was supposed to take some stress off of us, but now I still have to do the work and I am out $254 dollars for the service, plus the $50 worth of dead plants, the $50 for new plants to replace the dead ones, possibly $30 for the plants that may not make it, and all the time it took to plant the plants and to now do the weeding myself before it gets too out of hand. I will say, he did do a good job on the holly bush though...so there is that.
