LANDMARK CONSTRUCTION

Absolutely a nightmare. Mr. Lanier had performed work in the past and did a good job and was highly recommended from 2 other sources as well. We signed an agreement and gave 30% in August and work was supposed to be completed by December. He didn't realilze that the permits would take 12 weeks and promised to do the work that did not require permits. He worked a couple of days and then left the city to work in New Orleans and was unreachable for months. Permits were granted the first week of January and he promised to begin work at once with another contractor who never showed up when he was in New Orleans. Work didn't begin until March and he gave a 5/31 completion date. Work is still not completed and he only showed up a few hours each week if at all. He also has a terrible temper, yelled at me many times, and his work meets just the minimum requirements to pass inspection. We paid him for all the ''work'' he did and got a release from him and hiring others to complete the job.
