Contacted Don and in couple of days he came to the house and gave us a quote to repair the damage.
About two days later he and his crew came out and took out the damaged wood, we wanted to wait a few days to let the slab dry out and to see if the leak had been repaired. After it was determined that the leak was indeed fixed, Don returned to put the new wood down.
Don is very easy to work with, very prompt, and did an excellent job of repairing our floor.
We used Don because another very highly rated installer on this site who did our original installation, apparently wasn't able to fit us in his schedule.

We were extremely pleased with the entire experience, from our first contact with Don Davis to completion of the job, just a week later.  The floors are beautiful -- a major transformation!  Don's sons Jeff and Bryan are hard workers, and very professional.  The project was finished on time, with a minimum of disruption, and no dust!  We highly recommend Knothole Hardwoods.   .

Don was great to work with. He took a bad situation with water damaged flooring and gave us the best most cost effective solution. His patience and professionalism were outstanding. He showed up on time and delivered exactly what we asked for. He kept a very clean workplace and his attention to detail was hard to beat. I would definitely use him again.

I had a very small job that no one wanted. Don was nice enough to help me out with the situation I was in . He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate. He repaired it quickly and stuck to his original quote. I'm very happy with his work and would recommend him highly. My Realtor stopped by and was impressed too by his work. The Realtor asked for his card and now has a new wood floor guy to use. Thanks again Don....

Don Davis demonstrated his decades of experience with hardwood by giving me a prompt, fair estimate to clean and polish the hardwood floors in several rooms of our house. Don appeared promptly on the date and time we had agreed he would do the work. He did a beautiful job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

We called Don in May and asked him to install carpet for us. He said he doesn't usually do carpet, but the people he would recommend were all busy so he agreed to take our small job so it would be done correctly. This shows Don's willingness to go above and beyond for customers! Even though we had such a small job and carpet installation isn't one of his regular services, we could tell that he has the same standard of excellence for every job. He and his team were kind and courteous. We highly recommend Don!

We had a fire at our house in May that necessitated the hardwood flooring in our bonus room and stairs to be removed and reinstalled. Knothole Hardwoods was subcontracted by our construction company to replace the floors as part of our insurance claim. My husband had originally installed the floors himself and was meticulous in the process. He was very critical of anyone coming in to replace what he had done. We are very pleased with how the replacement floors have turned out. Anyone coming into our house would never know the floors had been replaced. All of the men working on the project were courteous and respectful of our home. I will consider hiring them in the future to renovate the tile floors in our house.
