KEN LAKER PROFESSIONAL HANDYMAN

When he came out to our house to bid this project he talked about how loyal and honest he was. He said his guys have worked for him for years. He also discussed how he uses only the best paints from Baer. I felt good during our first meeting so I decided to give him a chance. The first sign should have been that he never gave me a quote in writing... it was over the phone. Every other bid I got was professional typed up and sent to me through my email. I made him put everything in writing that he quoted me before I would give him any money up front (which he at first wanted half... no way! only gave $1,000). Next, his guys come out and after talking with them we learned they are handymen themselves and don't work for Ken... only get contracted through him from time to time! The guys then open the paint and almost start when my husband noticed it wasn't quality paint at all!!! My husband called Home Depot where Ken purchased the paint and asked the painting department about this paint. They said they would NEVER put it on the exterior of a home and it was the lowest grade paint they sell! My husband was furious! Needless to say, Ken had to buy better paint better the guys started... Anyway, I could go on and on!!!! I would NEVER EVER use Ken Laker again for anything! The 2 guys that came out and actually did the work we will use again!

He was terrible. The grout work is coming out already. The cracks in the stucco were filled with caulk. He left some ridges on the wall that when dried they were impossible to remove. After I painted the house, you could see where he had tried to fix the stucco.
