We decided to have our swimming pool removed because it was subsiding due to an area of muck underneath it and it could not be repaired with any guarantee that it would not continue to sink.  The McGradys' professionalism, attention to detail, and experience gave me complete confidence in them from the start.  We were kept informed along the way regarding timelines, permits, inspections, etc. We felt that we knew exactly what to expect and the job was completed perfectly with great care given to protecting our home trees, sidewalk, etc.  We have a back yard ready to be landscaped.  It was a pleasure working with this company.

Wanted to fill in my pool, since we did not use it much anymore and were tired of the maintenance and cost on a yearly basis.
Found Joe McGrady on Angies List and another consumer review site.  All the reviews were positive and reviewers said, they would recommend him, so I decided to give him a call.
I asked him to do a partial pool closure which I researched and thought it would be the most cost effective and still allows for the pool to be reopened in the future.
Joe McGrady came to look at my property at the day and time we had arranged. He was very knowledgeable and went over the process step by step and was very clear about all the details and answered all my questions. This requires heavy equipment, dump trucks, compactor, removal of screens, some fencing and all the pool pump and spa equipment. In addition, the pool lights and electricity to the pool has to be turned off. The County inspector has to approve the progress of the work after the initial cut is made in the bottom of the pool and after the work is completed to make sure the grade is right and everything has been restored.
He and his workers were so professional and respectful of my property and cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished.
 I am very pleased with the outcome of this project would recommend him to you if you want to close your in ground pool or build a pool.

They were so professional and always followed through on everything from the estimate to the end of the job.  Everything was done on time and they worked very hard, non-stop through wind and rain to finish the job.  They removed a large in-ground pool and refilled and compacted the area in less than 2 days!  Handled all the permitting and made it so easy!  I would highly recommend this company for any job you need done. I contacted several companies for estimates on the removal of my swimming pool.  Joe McGrady was by far the most proffessional, punctual and most competent contractor that I reviewed.  His communication before during and after the job was excellent.  He continually provided updates as the job progressed and any time that I called with a question my calls were either immediately or very promptly returned.  Joe went above and beyond the requirements of the job performing many extra items that were not in the written scope to keep the project moving.  This was a fairly difficult pool removal due to having a section of the pool too close to the columns in our porch.  Joe treated this item meticulously and his experience and expertice shined in his handling of the situation.  Joe's estimate and pricing were very fair.  He was clearly the most knowledgable contractor that I had bid in the area of pool removal.  I had many swimming pool contractors bid on the job that did not have much of a clue.  Joe understood every aspect of the job and and provided a very fair and accurate estimate.   Joe's work ethic was amazing and he performed the job precisely as planned and completed on time. The pool was removed completely, all of the debris was hauled away.  The clean fill was restored, compacted and graded perfectly for the additon of a paver patio.  It was an outstanding job from begging to end.  I highly recommend Joe McGrady for pool removal jobs.  He is absolutely the best in town.
