Al is by far the most professional, responsive, and detail-oriented contractor I've ever worked with! He runs the family business with his boys, and they do much of the work themselves. The subs they hired were just as professional, skilled, and courteous as they were. The work done was top-notch, and has earned the admiration of other professionals we've hired (painter, electrician, etc.) Al responded to my every text, email, and phone call, and consulted with me when anything needed to be decided or changed. He was flexible with my chaotic work schedule, and was able to fit our house in between other jobs his team was working on. Al works with Pro-Source supplies, and I was impressed with the salespeople there when I was choosing tile, countertops, and cabinets. The one or two times an issue arose with granite or tile, Al communicated with Pro-Source and helped resolve things. All around A+ team, very highly recommended!! We will be hiring them again for sure.
Description of Work: Al and his team almost doubled the size of the existing bathroom in our 1948 house, and completely remodeled from floor to ceiling - building shower, installing cabinets with granite countertop, new toilet, and adding window. Also moved washer/dryer + water heater from one side of house to the other, opened up back wall and installed large french doors, tore out old corner windows and greatly expanded front window, replaced three kitchen windows, updated kitchen with new granite countertops and matched new cabinets to existing ones in order to change configuration of sink + appliances, created counter-window into living area from kitchen, and fixed floor tile in side room. Finally, they installed ceiling tiles throughout the house.

Al and I had discussed many projects over the course of several months for our previous home. We decided to purchase my husband's 60 year old family home and so the focus moved to the 'new' home. We met a couple of times to discuss the job and scope the project out and Al was always on time and very professional. I appreciated his patience as I asked for yet another tweak to the plan. After finalizing the scope, Al and the crew (all family members) began work in mid-December. The complete gut of the kitchen and 'master' bath entailed removing what were exterior walls (remodels had made the walls 'interior' walls, relocating plumbing and removing ceilings. Throughout the process Al or Rob frequently consulted with me as issues or questions arose. They were very creative when it came to solving the many challenges we faced during this project. Let's face it, a sixty year old home with plaster walls and previous remodels that were not exactly completed correctly provided for some interesting times. Through it all I never doubted they would figure out a quality solution. I very quickly came to value the recommendations they made with respect to the project such as when it made sense to take out a ceiling versus trying to repair it. Al always had a smile and a "we can do that" response when I asked for one more thing. Al didn't seem to mind too badly the texts at odd hours or on weekends when I thought of a question or had a concern. The end result is a place which my husband and I plan to have as our last home. The home is small; with their help I feel we maximized its potential. As others have said, they always arrived time, were professional and left the work site neat, which they didn't necessarily need to do since we weren't living in the house. In order to be available to answer those ever present questions, I worked out of the house and the guys were very respectful of this situation. With respect to the cost, I rated Integrity Builders a B simply because I didn't speak with anyone else and I felt the price was very fair considering the effort and quality. They had completed work for two of my neighbors and that was good enough for me. I am also very confident that they didn't nickel and dime me for every little thing...if they could work in a small request while they were already here they did. Furthermore, Al recommended quality contractors for work such as electrical and heating/cooling; it seems quality and integrity attract the same. In the end, this was a 3 month adventure we will embark upon again. Our funds ran out before our projects; Integrity Builders will definitely be back.
Description of Work: This family-owned/operated company completed a complete gut and rebuild of our kitchen and master bath, finished a previously enclosed carport, replaced and repaired numerous ceilings and walls.

Al & his crew did a great job for us. They were prompt, went above & beyond what was asked of them. Always cleaned their work area at the end of each day. They finished this project before the estimated finish date & were concerned about keeping our expenses as low as they could. I have referred them to others & will continue to do so.
Description of Work: Remodeled & renovated an apt.

Al gave us the lowest quote and also gave us a great job. He tore down the previously unsafe wheelchair ramp and rotting front porch. In their place he put in a ramp with a safe, smooth incline and rebuilt the front porch so it looks brand new. Al did the job quickly, professionally and still remained a friendly down home guy. I hope to have him do work for us again.
Description of Work: Great job on ramp and porch.

I chose another contractor.
Description of Work: I called and spoke with Al Brooker about replacing my windows and doors and covering my patios with aluminum and screen enclosures. He came to my house and took measurements and discussed the type of windows I wanted. About a week later he called me to say he had just taken on a big job that would take over three months and knowing that I wanted my work to be done before summer weather came, he would not be able to do the job.

Awesome! See statement above.
Description of Work: I am extremely happy with Integrity Builder Services, Inc. Al and his son were prompt, courteous, and meticulous. They always cleaned the areas prior to leaving for the day. I hired Al's compnay to retiled my guest bathroom and build a master closet. Both turned out awesome! Al even came out to the house a few times prior to the construction to answer my questions and offered his professional assistance in picking out the right colors and design to work with my decor. A big thank you to Al and his son!

I got several bids from him to tear off T111 siding form the out side of my home and replace it and gavle of other wall with hardie board, he was also supposed to install 2 electric switches near my horse barn. The bid included "installi extra studs in gable of a previously sided" He also promised to give me a bid to replace the roof on the barn with metal. The bid was $4800 for the exterior wall of my house. I signed the bid and gave it to his stepson who said, "dont worry we will take care of you". They came and put one stud in wall previously sided and told me I would need to give them $550 that day to start. I gave them the money only to be told on the phone later, they werent coming back and doing any more and the $550 went to a $250 hourly rate never before discussed !! The whole wall they were to demo and replace was never touched and they kept $550 out of the $4800 bid and did not do the work. SEE photos enclosed. They should be called NO INTEGRITY BUILDERS.........They are not telling the truth about any of this and took my money. They made a trip to bid the job since they said they offered free bids as every company I got a bid from did. The day they came and asked for the $550, they were supposed to be ready to work on the wall they bid, which they never even started. I had to hire another builder to do it. I learned that you should never hire someone who only has 1 report. I did not change my mind ever on this job, I hired him, gave his stepson the signed contract and gave him the $550 he asked for which I thought was for materials for my job. His wife whose name the business license is in which the county told me, not the builder, told me they had to get the permit for me. This was not true as I got it myself for the next builder. They told me they did all their own work, but the whole morning they were at my house, the dad, stepson and sons friend, the dad was on the phone talking to someone about having to leave to supervise subcontractors on another job, after he told me he doesn't hire subcontractors, he does his own work. He did leave and told his stepson to ask me for the money and told me they'd be back to do finish the work. They never came back and cashed my checks. I would like to add photos of the mess they left where all they did was put one coat of spackle on a hole and never sanded it out or finished it. This was a different area than where i got the permit on. The roofer who referred him, which is the whole reason I hired him, said he would never refer him again ! I would never have hired someone with only 1 report without the roofers referral. He thought he knew him. Obviously he didn't really. I would like to research why the builder himself doesn't hold the contractors license like he told me he did. It was his wife's license after all according to the county. I am sure they will never give my money back, but I do intend to turn him over to the state building licensing dept. The public should be protected from being ripped off. I guess I am lucky it was $550 and not $5000, but that was $550 I couldnt give to the next builder who actually did great work. I will be writing a report on the good builder who has many reports with angies list that are all positive. The new builder I hired can attest that none of the previous bid was done when he arrived. The public should be protected from builders like "Integrity Builders"
Description of Work: PRoblem is services were not performed !! lost $550 and work was not done..........they put some spackle on a wall that had a hole in dining room, left it and did not sand down or finish, it will have to be redone by someone who will have to take off the lump they left, they also put some spackle on a hole in foundation, needlessly put caulking over already caulked vent on outside wall and touched up with paint, put one board in attic to nail siding and put in a few nails to it. they did not do the entire wall they were hired to do , they got a bigger job and left my job undone, to go do it.

Response from Integrity Builder Services Inc
The member had work that need finalized from a previous builder that would not return to finalize his work. So we went to close out the old permit so we could move forward on the next phase of work she had requested us bid on. After two trips above and before doing the work to discuss the job because she would change her mind. Then it took three guys half day to close out items the inspector needed fixed to finalize the old permit. Then Angie Brooker met her at the permit office in Orange County Florida and spent the entire day with her trying to resolve the old permit and get it closed and finalized which we accomplished that day. After spending the day with the member and she discussed all the old contractors that have quit and left her jobs and how she was taking them to court, We (Integrity Builder Services) a very well-known and established general contractor in Central Florida made the executive decision not to engage any further business activity with her. Integrity Builder Services maintains and carries a strong Residential and commercial referral base that can verify our workmanship and integrity.

Al Brooker is the president. Al showed up exactly when he said he would for the estimate. He only wanted a third of the estimate to start. Either he or his son were here during all the work. Every day when they finished they cleaned up their mess. We were at work each day so they were here alone, and they called almost every day to let us know how they were progressing. They finished the job when they said they would. They even fixed a leaky outdoor faucet and brought the recycle bin up from the curb. I would definately call them again.
Description of Work: We had our garage remodeled. They put in a new drywall ceiling, new garage door with opener, painted the ceiling and all the walls, did some electrical work, and put in a new man door.
